Popular streamer theburntpeanut accidentally revealed his face live on stream in a very unusual way, and it instantly got fans talking.

Unlike most popular streamers, theburntpeanut uses a realistic peanut avatar with human eyes and lips. The streamer behind the increasingly popular character doesn’t show his own face on stream, but a viewer recently tricked him into doing exactly that during a livestream.

When a fan sent him an article about himself, theburntpeanut decided to open it and read the piece live on stream. But as he scrolled down, he realized that his real face was being used in the article. Everyone watching the livestream ended up seeing the image along with him. The clip immediately started to go viral, as theburntpeanut has not shown his face since he’s become popular.

theburntpeanut showed his face before he became big on Twitch

theburntpeanut began streaming in 2022, and was initially known for his game guide content. However, his viewership never really grew and he ended up taking a break for a year. That may have been the end of it, were it not for the timely intervention of a friend.

In January 2024, a friend told the streamer to try streaming Escape From Tarkov again. He was hesitant, but decided to do it with a twist. Since his name was already theburntpeanut on TikTok, he decided to create a peanut avatar to go along with it while playing a loud, obnoxious character.

While he has not shown his face in the past few years, there are still clips and images of his real identity from before he became well-known. Before he became the peanut.

Over the years, theburntpeanut’s antics have seen him banned 47 separate times on TikTok. He eventually switched his content creation primarily to YouTube and Twitch, noticing that he was getting more and more viewers as he went. Because he was gaining fans so fast, many streamers accused theburntpeanut of viewbottings.

His response? “It’s cope.”

His streams started getting 30,000 average concurrent viewers once he switched to ARC Raiders when the acclaimed extraction shooter was released. This included one stream that had over 90,000 concurrent viewers when he took part in a content creator war that fans were invited to join in on.  Through this impressive rise to fame, theburntpeanut winning a trophy at The Streamer Awards.

While theburntpeanut didn’t want to show his face again the way it was recently revealed, many of his fans immediately stood up for him. They noted that he used to show his face all the time, so it’s really no big deal that it’s happened again here. Instead, they’ve encouraged people to enjoy his more recent peanut antics along with his two million followers on Twitch.
