It’s worth noting empires manage their cities differently from previous franchise entries. The tedium has been cut in favor of more fun features that allow players to sculpt their play style. One such feature is Unique Quarters, which are formed when two civ-specific Unique Buildings are placed on the same tile. These provide incredible bonuses and may end up defining a playthrough.
Here are some of the best unique quarters to build in Civilization 7.
Required Buildings – Jalaw, K’uh Nah
Uwaybil K’uh grants bonus Production for the City every time a Technology is researched.  The Maya civilization is one of the fastest growing civilizations in the game’s early stages. While Jawa and K’uh Nah are solid generators of science and happiness, the true combo lies in the unique quarter, Uwaybil K’uh.
The way Uwaybil K’uh’s bonus is based on 15% of the civilization’s science stat multiplied by the number of cities the quarter is in. That means for every city with a Uwaybil K’uh, that’s a +15% bonus to Production overall. Combined with Maya’s 15% bonus in Tech after Civic research, Maya can become a powerhouse of resources and technology.
Required Buildings – Ginko, Jukogyo
Zaibatsu grants increased Gold and Production to all buildings in adjacent tiles.  Meiji Japan is characterized as an age of explosive growth for Japan’s economy. It’s only appropriate that its unique quarter does the same. Ginko and Jukogyo synergize with this already, generating plenty of gold and production, alongside increased resource slots.

The Zaibatsu’s bonuses to gold tile-adjacent buildings can quickly snowball Meiji Japan into an economic powerhouse. The combo of gold and production also means this civilization is a lot more self-reliant, as it can fund its plans without aggressive expansion. Paired with Meiji Japan’s strong military, this civilization became a nightmare to face with its economic boons.
Required Buildings – Madrasa, Mosque
Ulema adds Science to all Specialists in the city it’s built on. Known as a bastion of knowledge in the exploration era, the Abbasid civilization is one of the most scientifically-minded groups of its time. Madrasa exclusively generates Science and provides bonuses for other Science buildings. Meanwhile, the Mosque keeps the populace happy through religion and culture.
Ulema’s Science bonus may be straightforward, but the strongest boons are often the simplest. More science, especially in the exploration age, puts the player ahead technologically fast. Technology also makes every other aspect of building ane empire easier. When paired with a leader who specializes in Science, Abbasid is the best civilization for a Science victory.
