Strange as it may sound, figuring out the best place to sleep is one of the biggest challenges in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was one of the most critically acclaimed games of its year. The gritty feel of its gameplay and world made it unique among a sea of power fantasy RPGs like Skyrim. Players had to put in the time and elbow grease to succeed in tasks that would normally be second nature in other video games.

In the sequel, many of those challenges remain. Among the most frustrating for new players is where to sleep. Sleep is a key activity in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as it’s the only way to consistently restore health and energy. Fortunately, there’s a great place for players to sleep in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 early on.
Players can go to Blacksmith Radovan in Tachov or Miller Kreyzl in the Lower Semine Mill. Â Before players start diving into sidequests, having a place to stay is paramount. If players try to just sleep in random houses in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the house owner may get angry. In extreme cases, they may even call the guards, resulting in the player getting whipped for trespassing.
To avoid such misdemeanors, players should beeline for either the blacksmith or the miller and do their questlines. Doing so gives the player a personal bed, making the early game far more manageable. In addition to the bed, players will also get access to a storage chest for their excess items.
Players should ensure they sleep in the correct bed. Â Listen closely and watch where the blacksmith or miller tells the player to sleep. If the player accidentally sleeps in the wrong bed, it will be considered trespassing.
The blacksmith is the better option, as players will gain access to their forge for weapons and armor.  Although the blacksmith won’t be giving you freebies, players who help him will get lessons in blacksmithing. Take the quest “The Blacksmith’s Son,” which will task the player with finding forge materials and start crafting weapons. Completing this quest will reward the player with a Hunting Sword, a solid weapon in the early game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Story Recap
Players should also take “The Jaunt” quest from the blacksmith. The quest tells players to travel to Semine and investigate where the blacksmith’s delivery ended up. During that questline, players will eventually meet a stable boy who has the player’s horse from the start of the game.
While he can be met without the quest, it’s better to kill two birds with one stone, as riding a horse levels up Horsemanship. The earlier the mount is retrieved, the better.
It’s highly recommended to manually save before speaking to the stable boy because there will be a dialogue check. Alternatively, players can complete other quests to ensure they have the necessary gold to buy back the horse.
