Tfue continues to make big moves in the esports betting world, and it has just been announced that he has joined the Totem team. The popular esports player and streamer is joining as an ambassador and contributor to Totem’s latest project, Cooked.com.

With more and more streamers becoming actively involved in the development of sports betting sites, it is unsurprising that a player the calibre of Tfue has become a major part of a developer like Totem.

In their announcement post on LinkedIn, Totem stated that Tfue’s role in the company will extend further than that of a classic brand ambassador. “Tfue’s insights will shape how those products evolve, how Cooked expands as our showcase, and how Totem becomes the default platform for gaming-native consumer experiences,” they said.

Totem describes Cooked.com as their “flagship consumer platform” and there are plans to develop out prediction markets for esports, which Tfue will no doubt have a hand in helping out with given his background.

An Insight into Tfue: The Legendary Fortnite Player

Tfue Real NameTurner Tenney
BirthdayJanuary 2nd, 1998
Birth PlaceFlorida
FollowersTwitch: 10.4 million, Youtube: 11.7 million

Tfue has quickly become one of the most popular gamers and streamers in the world right now, and a huge part of that is due to his skill at Fortnite. He’s also renowned for being a flagship member of FaZe Clan for a period of time, before their relationship came to an explosive end.

He originally rose to fame in 2018, starting out as a streamer playing PUBG professionally, for the esports team Rogue. But when he switched to Fortnite, his popularity in the mainstream exploded overnight. Currently, Tfue is primarily a popular Fortnite streamer, who currently has a net worth of around $7 million, and his influence in the esports industry is still immense.

As one of the more recognizable esports streamers in the space right now, Tfues name still has tremendous influence, so Totem managing to get him as the primary face of their brand is a huge deal. Given he still regularly posts on both Youtube and Twitch, he will regularly be able to promote and showcase Totems brands, such as Cooked.com.

Who are Totem, and what is Cooked.com?

Totem is a newer name in esports betting, so many fans may not know them yet. They build casino and sportsbook platforms, with a focus on creating distinctive betting sites that emphasise engagement, streaming, and interactive content.

Cooked.com is their first major project, which is currently a crypto casino, but will soon launch into a sports betting platform given the many new strategies Totem plan to integrate into their platforms. For one, they plan to have a focus on prediction markets, a distinct alternative to traditional betting.

They will also offer stream-integrated experiences, letting users watch streamers and wager on outcomes outside traditional esports tournaments. A co-play feature will also allow users to watch, interact and wager together.

The bigger picture for the industry

This partnership between Tfue and Totem is testament to how the relationships between betting platforms and creators have changed for good. A major streamer like Tfue becoming a creative part of Totem’s vision to implement this into their platforms means that creators ultimately are aiming for more equity in the games they are playing and streaming.

Streamers including iShowSpeed and Kai Cenat have built huge, highly-engaged audiences, giving them significant influence over the brands they promote — and Tfue is looking to do the same here. Specifically for Cooked.com’s big plans, the partnership should boost the platform’s visibility and could encourage more gaming streamers to enter esports betting. With Twitch and betting audiences already overlapping, deals like this brings the two worlds even closer together.
