Team Vitality vs Team Spirit Match Analysis

The best CS2 team in the world will take on the firepower of Team Spirit for the IEM Rio 2026 final.

There’s really not much to say about Team Vitality. They’ve destroyed everyone in 2026, and it’s really no surprise seeing them in yet another grand final. However, it’s safe to say Vitality have looked vulnerable in this tournament.

apEX and company lost their 18-match win streak to Team Falcons earlier at the event, which happens to be the team that Spirit demolished in the semi-final to get here. Additionally, FURIA were able to make the semi-final series close, though Vitality still closed it out 2-0 in the end.

Team Spirit had a rough start to the event, but they’ve been chaining some real momentum. And with the sheer firepower on this team, even the likes of Vitality should be worried.

The most surprising part about Team Spirit’s run is that donk is finally getting some help. We saw tN1R come up huge in the quarter final, and in-game leader magixx also stepped up in the semi final against Team Falcons. If the whole team can carry this form into the final, they could seriously make it close.

However, Team Vitality have had Spirit’s number. They have already beaten Team Spirit in two Best of 5 finals since 2025, winning both in 3-0 fashion. This is some bad news for Spirit fans.

Team Vitality vs Team Spirit Betting Picks and Predictions

Though Spirit have shown some great improvement and individual level throughout Rio, we still don’t see them taking down Team Vitality in a Best of 5 series. The best esports betting sites seem to agree, with Vitality labeled as heavy favorites.

However, Team Spirit can definitely abuse Mirage, which is Vitality’s worst map. We could see the magixx-led squad win at least one map in the series.

Still, we’re going to back Vitality winning the series, leading us to take Team Vitality -1.5 maps.
