Team Vitality vs FURIA Match Analysis

Team Vitality are set to take on FURIA for a spot in the IEM Rio 2026 grand final.

The undisputed best CS2 team in the world are primarily here in Rio for one purpose – to claim their second ESL Grand Slam. Winning this event will grant them an extra million dollars in prize money, which never hurts to claim.

Team Vitality had their 18-match win streak shattered by Team Falcons in the group stage, which wasn’t a great look. Still, they bounced back in the quarter final series against NAVI, demolishing the number-2 ranked team in the world 13-4 and 13-6.

FURIA will play in front of their home crowd, and we all know how loud the crowd can get in Brazil. The local team is looking to make their country proud with an upset victory, but it won’t be easy.

To get to the semi final, FURIA took down MOUZ and NAVI, which are by no means any pushovers. However, Team Vitality is a completely different beast. The entire team will have to step up, and all eyes lead to molodoy to handle his counterpart – ZywOo.

The best esports betting sites don’t fancy FURIA’s chances of winning, but the crowd buff could be very real.

Team Vitality vs FURIA Betting Picks and Predictions

When analyzing this series, there’s one important detail that stood out. Both teams have their perma-bans set to Ancient. So, it’ll be interesting to see which team is forced to ban it, as the other team will save their ban and can allocate it to another map.

We believe FURIA will ban Ancient, as Vitality have played the map once before. If this were to happen, Vitality could likely ban Mirage, which is their weakest map. That would mean Vitality has every other map covered, putting FURIA in big trouble.

As much as we want FURIA to prevail, the chances don’t look great. Even if Mirage slips through, we still believe Vitality have all the resources and current form to take this series 2-0. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see FURIA making each map close.
