The two teams with arguably the strongest firepower in the world are set to face off in the grand final of PGL Astana 2026.

Team Spirit have had a rocky start to the 2026 season, but they look like they’ve solved many of their problems at this event. Though Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is still putting up monstrous ratings, his teammates are finally providing the support he needs.

Spirit are yet to drop a single series at this event, taking down the likes of FURIA, G2, and MOUZ already. However, Team Falcons will be the final roadblock between them and their first trophy in a while.

To be honest, it feels like a miracle that Team Falcons have made it this far. They were incredibly close to being eliminated by FURIA in the quarterfinals, but somehow survived multiple overtimes to pull off a reverse sweep and keep their tournament hopes alive.

Yes, they’ve earned their spot in the grand final, but it’s safe to say their performances haven’t been the cleanest. After all, the team is still adjusting to the new leadership. They’ll need their superstars – Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin – to perform in this crucial series against Team Spirit.

Betting picks and predictions for Team Spirit vs Team Falcons

The grand final will be played in a Best of 5 format, putting both teams’ map pools to the test. Unfortunately for the Falcons, they typically avoid playing two maps, which are Anubis and Overpass.

Team Spirit are comfortable on both of those maps, and due to the series length, one of them is guaranteed to slip through. This gives the Eastern European side a noticeable veto advantage before the series even starts.

In terms of recent form, we also have to favor Team Spirit. Donk has been averaging a ridiculous 1.63 rating, which honestly feels illegal. And if it weren’t for m0NESY and kyousuke pulling off miraculous rounds, Team Falcons probably would’ve been eliminated already.
