The BLAST Austin Major has not gone to plan for most of the top teams, so can NaVi pull off a big upset against Team Spirit?

Match BLAST Austin Major Group Stage 3
Kick-off June 13, 2025 at 1:30 pm ET
Top pick Team Spirit wins 2-0
Betting favorite Team Spirit

Team Falcons, Team Vitality, MOUZ, and Team Spirit were the four favorites to win the BLAST Austin Major. Team Falcons got eliminated from Stage 2 in shocking fashion, and MOUZ and Falcons were both dealt pick’em-destroying upset losses in the first round of Stage 3. Falcons is the only team that has been living up to expectations thus far, starting off Stage 3 with wins over Pain Gaming and Lynn Vision Gaming. NaVi will be looking to keep the shockers coming by beating Spirit.

Team Spirit vs NaVi match details

Betting tip: Expect Team Spirit to win, and potentially win in emphatic fashion.

My Team Spirit vs NaVi pick: Team Spirit wins 2-0 at 2.25

Team Spirit vs NaVi match analysis, rosters, and maps

Team Spirit is an exceptional team, even though there have been questions about whether they can stay at the top in 2025. Fans generally think of them as “the donk squad” due to Danil “donk” Kryshkovets’s exceptional playmaking ability. They’re still more than capable of delivering strong, straightforward Counter-Strike too, though.

There’s been some razzle dazzle in Austin from Spirit, but it hasn’t actually come from donk. Instead, Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov has been top-fragging for the team, posting a downright absurd 17-4 K/D against Pain Gaming, then 17-9 K/D against Lynn Vision Gaming. Boris “magixx” Vorobyev has been the one getting the clutches for the team, scoring a pair of key rounds to push the team to a quick 13-3 win over Pain Gaming.

donk hasn’t been struggling by any measure, posting enormous numbers in his own right. But donk performing at a high level while his teammates are also playing at a top level? That should be a terrifying thought for everyone playing in Austin.

NaVi is off to a strong start in Austin but the team finds itself as a huge underdog heading into this match. That’s for good reason, as Spirit typically has the edge in this matchup, but looks to be on a different level right now.
