The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) MPL Philippines Season 17 has come to an end with Team Liquid PH securing the Grand Final with a 4-2 win over Team Falcons PH.

The Grand Final was a thrilling back-and-forth contest between the two teams, with scores tied after the first four games of the series. However, Liquid rallied to secure back-to-back wins, ultimately lifting the championship.

Liquid and Falcons both finished the regular season as the top two teams in the region. Liquid finished at the top of the leaderboards with a 13-1 series record, winning 27 games and dropping only 6. Falcons weren’t too far behind, claiming the second place with a 12-2 series record, securing 26 wins and 8 losses across the season.

Team Liquid PH and Team Falcons PH both started the playoffs from the Upper-Bracket semi-finals. However, Falcons lost their opening series against ONIC Philippines and dropped down to the Lower-Bracket.

Liquid put up a strong showing in their opening series against Omega Esports, securing a 3-0 win. Then they went on to dismantle ONIC Philippines in the Upper-Bracket final 3-1 to secure their place in the Grand Final.

After dropping to the Lower-Bracket, Falcons secured a win over Omega Esports before getting their revenge over ONIC Philippines in the first best-of-seven of the playoffs. As the two strongest teams from the region faced off, the series was highly competitive.

Liquid secured the first two games and looked to be on their way to victory. But Falcons rallied and secured the following two games, tying the series at 2-2. However, Liquid had the last laugh as they stomped the fifth game, securing the win within 11 minutes in the shortest game of the series and the third-shortest game of the playoffs.

Falcons failed to recover from that loss, eventually bowing out in the sixth game of the series with the final score of 4-2 in Liquid’s favor. Liquid’s Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno was crowned the regular season MVP while teammate Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya stood out as the Finals MVP with his stellar plays from the EXP Lane.

Both Liquid and Falcons have secured their place at the MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2026 that will be held in Paris as part of EWC 2026. Apart from these two, a few other teams have also secured their places at the championship, while others are still fighting it out. The tournament will feature a total of 25 teams and will be held across July, kicking off on the first day of the month and the final scheduled to be played on August 1.
