We have a clash of titans, as two teams with arguably the strongest firepower in the world are set to clash for a spot in the IEM Rio 2026 grand final.

Team Falcons have been the talk of the town for multiple reasons – the rumored addition of karrigan after the event, and taking down the unbeatable Team Vitality in the group stage.

Overall, Team Falcons are pretty much a dead roster walking. Changes are bound to happen after IEM Rio, and that might be a blessing in disguise. Now, they’re playing with zero pressure, and that has resulted in a huge victory against the best CS2 team in the world.

Team Spirit, on the other hand, had a disastrous start to their IEM Rio campaign. In the group stage, they had already lost to the Falcons 0-2, where they were blown out of the water. The Eastern European squad then dropped a map to RED Canids, but pulled a reverse sweep to stay breathing.

Fortunately, it feels like Spirit have steadied the ship after a very convincing 2-0 victory against MOUZ. donk was finally given some help, as tN1R severely stepped up in that series with a 1.86 rating.

Historically, the Falcons have had Spirit’s number in head-to-heads, going 8-3 in maps. This was proven in the group stage, where Falcons swept Spirit 2-0 in 13-4 and 13-5 maps just a couple of days ago. And in terms of recent form, we’ll have to side with the Falcons, as they have just took down Vitality.

The map pool also leans towards the Falcons, as they are comfortable playing Spirit’s go-to maps which are Anubis and Dust 2. Overall, we have multiple reasons to point to the Falcons taking this series. As a result, we’re taking their moneyline market. However, Team Spirit could definitely win a map at the very least.
