Both teams are in excellent shape, though T1’s recent loss against Hanwha Life Esports may put it at a disadvantage. Gen.G is looking extremely strong currently, and the clean sweep against KT Rolster proves that the team means business.

T1 vs Gen.G match overview

Betting tip: Both teams have historically been rivals, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the match goes the distance.

Our T1 vs Gen.G pick: Total maps to be over 4.5 @ 2.64.

T1 vs Gen.G match analysis

Faker had been performing exceptionally well throughout the last split, but he wasn’t able to show up in the match against HLE. Oner was in a similar boat, with the jungler getting outplayed in most games. Doran has seen major improvement in the top lane, which could be a strong weapon against Gen.G’s Kiin.

T1’s strongest point is still its bottom lane. In particular, Keria has proven his skill as a top-tier support player multiple times, and Peyz has high carry potential. The problem for T1 is that Gen.G’s Ruler is much more consistent as an ADC, even if Duro isn’t quite as reliable as Keria.

Chovy is occasionally iffy in the middle lane, but Canyon is usually around to make up for any of his shortcomings. Considering the current forms of both teams, Gen.G will likely want to go in guns blazing. An initially aggressive strategy could help the team acquire at least one quick kill, making Gen.G the team to side with for getting first blood.

T1 has definitely seen better days, and it’s looking very likely that the team will walk out of this match as the loser. This doesn’t mean that victory will be easy for Gen.G. There’s a real chance of the match going the distance, potentially making it a good idea to take the over on 4.5 maps being played.

T1 vs Gen.G betting picks & predictions

While there’s no doubt that T1 is one of the strongest professional teams around, it’s far from the most consistent. The team usually pulls through when the stakes are high, but the recent match against HLE didn’t suggest that’ll be the case here. With Gen.G’s superior planning and reliable teamwork, there’s a good chance that it’ll win this match and move on to MSI.
