Every team in the ongoing MSI 2025 event has worked hard to make it to the tournament. While some breezed through the other teams in their regions, others had to struggle to barely make the cut. CFO and T1 stand on opposite sides of that spectrum, and they’ll now meet on the big stage to see which team progresses and which one goes down to the lower bracket.
T1 vs CFO match overview
- Tournament: MSI 2025
- Stage: Bracket stage
- Game: League of Legends
- Format: Best-of-five
Betting tip: While T1 is the favorite to win thanks to the team’s many achievements and proven individual talent, CFO has real upset potential thanks to its consistency, and the odds being overwhelmingly stacked against CFO could lead to a great return.
T1 vs CFO match analysis
T1 has some of the strongest individual players in pro LoL, including Faker, Oner, Gumayusi, and Keria. All four players have performed extraordinarily well in the past, and the team owes much of its success to the mid-jungle and ADC-support synergies. However, the team has stumbled quite a bit recently. Its match against HLE in the Road to MSI event saw every player step up and dominate their mirrored opposition, but that performance isn’t the norm for T1 these days.
Faker and Oner stand as the two players who have consistently performed best. Doran may have dominated his lane against Zeus in the HLE match, which was an amazing feat, but the many times he has thrown a game this year still can’t be ignored. The good news for T1 is that Gumayusi’s performance has seen major improvement recently, and winning the bot lane will significantly help T1’s chances of coming out on top here.

CFO’s last big tournament was First Stand 2025, where it performed well in the Round Robin stage, beating out teams including Top Esports and Karmine Corp. CFO’s bot lane is extremely strong and consistent, with the two players showing up in every match. This isn’t to say they’re alone in this, as HongQ is also strong in the mid lane and has a way of shutting down his lane opponent, eliminating a prime win condition for opposition in doing so.
Despite CFO still being a relatively unknown team that doesn’t have as much international experience as some other sides at MSI, it has the fundamentals down. A good example is its LCP match against GAM, where CFO’s macro plays won them the match in landslide fashion. Having the same level-headedness and sticking to the strategy will give the team a good chance to win against the recently shaky T1.

Champion pool
- T1 will want to go for the champion compositions the team knows work, especially considering it’s the side’s first match in this tournament. Fans can therefore expect Ahri, Viktor, Xin Zhao, Sejuani, Ambessa, Gwen, Jhin, Miss Fortune, Rakan, Alistar, and Lulu.
- CFO’s limited champion pool means the team commonly goes for Jayce, Nidalee, Vi, Xin Zhao, Azir, Viktor, Kalista, Ezreal, Alistar, and Leona.

T1 vs CFO betting picks and predictions
Despite the individual talent T1’s players hold, the team has been shaky at best in 2025. With some of the most dominating matches and worst throws both becoming commonplace for T1, the team may fold against the more consistent CFO. The LCP representative has shown great resilience, including coming back from a 0-2 score against TALON in the run-up to MSI, and it wouldn’t be farfetched to assume CFO may actually be the favorite here despite its lower odds. CFO is a lesser-known team, but that doesn’t mean it can’t come out on top.
Best picks
- CFO gets first blood @ 2.07: T1 has shown more initial passiveness than before, likely thanks to the team’s recent stumbles. This may allow CFO to get first blood.
- Total maps over 4.5 @ 4.06: Between both teams’ recent performance and weaknesses, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the match goes to the fifth map.
