Twitch star Kai Cenat’s return to the streaming space after a months-long break was massively successful, with the streamer crossing 1 million concurrent live viewers for the second time in his career. If that wasn’t enough, Kai Cenat also became the most-subscribed Twitch streamer, with just three streams since his return. Kai Cenat and other Streamer University 2026 participants have been broadcasting the event on Twitch and YouTube, and the event ended with controversy and drama.

At the end of the event, which ran from July 15–20, Cenat was stranded in the middle of nowhere by Roberto “Fanum” Escanio, before eventually making his way back to campus. Meanwhile, some Streamer University participants held a late-night party that broke the event’s rules, prompting the creator to expel those involved. Despite speculation from viewers that the controversy would bring the event to an early end, Streamer University 2026 concluded as scheduled.

This may be the biggest highlight of Streamer University 2026, as it is infamous for the drama, controversy, and chaos — and the 2026 edition was no different. Viewers recently saw that Fanum and his SUPD crew arrested and jokingly kidnapped Kai Cenat, tied him up, and ditched him in a random field, so the event’s participants could party. Kai Cenat had to call a helicopter to get back, and the streamer stated that he’d expel everyone caught partying at the club. He even got help from the police to track down the secret venue and dramatically showed up at the club where everyone was partying.

The party attendees were trying to leave for the Streamer University venue in buses, but Dean Kai Cenat caught them and kicked everyone out. He also fired Fanum from Streamer University 2026’s police job and made Quvonn “Rakai” Linder the new law enforcer of the event. Despite so many streamers being expelled from the event and the incident becoming one of the most controversial of the event, rumors of Streamer University 2026 ending early turned out to be unfounded. The expulsions stem from Kai Cenat’s rule, where he had stated that he would expel anyone found to be partying or interacting with outside people.

Streamer University 2026’s best moments

Dean Kai Cenat’s anger at being tied up in a field and having to expel so many students for partying may have been the highlight of the 2026 Streamer University event, but several other things happened. For instance, OnlyFans model Aishah Sofey has been facing backlash for crying about being a small streamer and getting ignored. Viewers have called her out for having a following in the millions and still claiming to be small. The streamer has also stated that she will leave OnlyFans completely if her streaming career becomes stable. She was also one of the students to sneak out for the party, but a clip is going viral showing Aishah Sofey sneaking back inside the campus.

Kai Cenat also brought some Streamer University 2025 alumni back for the 2026 event, but received significant backlash for inviting Rakai and Nina Lin. Rakai started his questionable actions and sprayed hot sauce at someone for throwing water at him, while Nina Lin started her antics as soon as she met Kai Cenat by jumping on top of his desk. There was a basketball match between the Streamer University 2025 alumni and the 2026 participants. The class of 2026 won the match, and Clarence “ClarenceNYC” Lorenzo White III was selected as the MVP. However, there was controversy surrounding the MVP selection, with many claiming Maxwell “PlaqueBoyMax” Elliot Dent should have gotten the title, as he was the player with the most shots during the game.

Despite there being much chaos in Streamer University 2026, one of the most wholesome moments happened when a streamer proposed to his girlfriend after winning an award, which ended with the girl saying yes. The event has now come to an end, but it was met with significant positive feedback from viewers and creators. This year’s event taught streamers a lot and focused on how smaller streamers can grow. While the event has reached its conclusion, Dean Kai Cenat announced that next year’s Streamer University will take place in Europe, with 2025 and 2026 alumni getting the chance to attend in what will likely be the biggest event yet.
