StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026: Teams, format, schedule, and prize pool
Top-tier Counter-Strike is back on the menu with StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. It’s not a 16-team tournament with every top team in attendance, but it’s still bound to entertain us for a solid four days. Here’s everything you need to know about StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026.

Tier 1 Counter-Strike lands in Spain again for the first time in a while, with only eight teams in attendance. StarLadder StarSeries will be a relatively quick tournament, making it short and sweet.
StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 teams
As highlighted above, we’ll only have eight participants duking it out in Barcelona. Here are the participants and how they got to the tournament:
VRS Invite
Four of the best CS2 teams were invited to the tournament through VRS points in July. At the time, the top teams that were invited and accepted are:
- Team Vitality
- Natus Vincere
- FURIA
- MOUZ
Team Vitality is returning in full force for this event after having it temporarily stand-in for the previous one. However, MOUZ currently looks like the strongest team in the tournament, having placed second at the most recent BLAST Open Fall 2026 event.

Qualifier Winners
The four VRS-invited teams will be challenged by hungry teams who clawed their way through qualifiers. The survivors are:
- Aurora Gaming (European Qualifier)
- magic (European Qualifier)
- NRG (North American Qualifier)
- MIBR (South American Qualifier)
Aurora Gaming is the most notable team of the bunch, fielding some of the best CS2 players like kyxsan, XANTARES, and Jimpphat. Additionally, we believe magic is going to be the dark horse of a tournament – they are a promising stack that has already pulled off upsets in other high-tier events, so we recommend keeping an eye on them.
Tournament format
With StarLadder StarSeries Fall being a relatively short tournament only lasting four days, the format is going to look a little different from other typical CS2 tournaments.
This event skips the group stage entirely, meaning we’re straight into the playoffs. The playoffs format is as follows:
- The playoffs will use a double-elimination bracket.
- All matches, excluding the grand final, will be played in Best of 3 format.
- The grand final will be played in Best of 5 format.
The playoffs bracket has already been revealed. The teams are seeded into the following matchups:

Tournament schedule
StarLadder StarSeries Fall will run from September 17 to 20, lasting four days. The tournament will follow Barcelona’s time zone, which is GMT +2. The first match of the day will start at 12:00 Barcelona time.
StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 prize pool and distribution
Teams aren’t just competing for a trophy, as they’re also splitting $500,000 among themselves. Here’s a look at the StarLadder StarSeries prize distribution:

It’s also worth noting that money isn’t the only reward – VRS points are also available. VRS points are required for teams to qualify for the upcoming 2026 Singapore Major, so winning this tournament, or at least making a deep run, should put teams in the right direction.
