Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. announced Speed Goes Pro Season 2 on November 2. The first episode featured former professional baseball player Derek Jeter and here are the main highlights of that episode.

In Speed Goes Pro, a series, IRL YouTuber iShowSpeed learns from professional athletes and then competes to see whether he’s capable of playing professionally. The newly announced Season 2 will include episodes with six athletes. The final episode is expected to air in February 2027.

Season 2 athletes featured will include Derek Jeter, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Pete Weber, and Mike Tyson. Each one of these athletes is an iconic figure in their respective sport.

Before the season’s announcement iShowSpeed was snapped with Usain Bolt and Mike Tyson, which started rumors of a second season Speed Goes Pro.

iShowSpeed clocks 3.88 seconds running to first base

Speed started his meeting with Derek Jeter in his usual comedic fashion, telling the former pro baseball player to tuck in his shirt if he wants to become a professional baseball player. The YouTuber then got hard at work trying to polish his baseball skills under the guidance of a legend of the sport.

There were several more lighthearted and funny moments, one where Derek Jeter laughed at Speed hurting his fingers while trying to catch a ground ball. Speed also tried running the bases to score his first home run but failed. Derek Jeter commented that this feat looks easier on TV, the YouTuber agreeing with him.

The best part of the episode was when Speed ran to first base in 3.88 seconds. This wasn’t easily accomplished, as the YouTuber had to try several times. He initially posted times of 4:19 seconds and 4:04 seconds, but ultimately set a personal best of 3.88 seconds.

Despite this feat, Derek Jeter told iShowSpeed doesn’t have what it takes to go pro when the YouTuber asked the former player whether he could play the sport professionally. Speed also tried to get Jeter to pitch to him, but the former pro player threw the ball straight into the ground, stating he hasn’t thrown a ball since he retired.

The first episode of Speed Goes Pro Season 2 opened up to positive feedback, with many fans commending the YouTuber for giving it his best. Some also credited Derek Jeter with bringing out the best in iShowSpeed.

Speed Goes Pro Season 2’s second episode will go live on November 11, 2026, when iShowSpeed will get pointers from Serena Williams.
