Still, one thing remains constant: No major, top-tier titles have been announced for release in November 2026. There’s one reason for that, and it’s GTA VI. Rockstar’s blockbuster sequel has cleared the board for November, with no game willing to come within two weeks of its release date either side, lest their get swept away into irrelevance by the open world should-be masterpiece of GTA’s sixth main-line instalment.
While GTA 6 is the de facto Game of the Year contender, even with its ‘last-possible day for consideration’ release window, State of Play, and indeed the rest of the June announcements, have shaken up the competition.
