We had no doubts about the overall legitimacy of the brand, and the first thing that showed us this was the regulatory compliance. You cannot make real money deposits at Wisespin, nor can you play the games for real money – it’s just the virtual currencies that you can play with. On top of that, this social casino also follows the no purchase necessary requirement as it provides a range of promotional features like a mail-in bonus and daily wheel spin.
Customer support options
We did find that we needed a little help when using the Wisespin site, so we were pleased to see a live chat. You start this by speaking to an AI chatbot, and this did help us resolve a few of our queries. However, if you don’t get any joy with it, you can speak to a human support rep. Virtual currency setup
Wisespin uses Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC) for its two virtual currencies and you have the chance of getting both of them via a range of promotions which you can read about in our separate Wisespin bonus review.
Gold Coins can be purchased from the GC store, with packages starting from $1.99. When we looked into making optional GC purchases, we were able to use a few different payment options including Visa, MasterCard, and Online Banking.
Sweeps Coins can potentially be redeemed for cash prizes, but you’ll need at least 100 SC to make a redemption request. Additionally, there’s a 1x bonus SC playthrough requirement, plus you’ll need to verify your ID via the full KYC check.
Security and transparency
We had no safety concerns when using the Wisespin website – they have SSL encryption and HTTPS connectivity as standard, and when we wrote this Wisespin review, there was an active SSL certificate provided by GlobalSign NV-SA. An active geoblocker also prevents people from outside the US from signing up, and we were impressed with the documentation they have which includes a sweeps policy, terms and conditions, and responsible social gaming information.
Gaming at Wisespin – it’s a slot-only affair
Let’s look at the game collection now at Wisespin, and we think they have started off in the right direction, but there’s definitely room for improvement. At the moment, you can only play video slots which are provided by the following developers:

However, if you do NOT enjoy video slots, then you might get bored of the game library, and they really need to add a table game section, live dealer games, and arcade games.

Using the Wisespin website
Once we’d checked out the game library and the legitimacy of the brand, we wanted to see how easy the site and mobile version was to use. They have done a great job with the style and design of the site, and we think it’s one of the better options for beginners who are new to sweepstakes casinos.
The desktop website looks great
Wisespin has a modern, stylish, and fun website design that we really took to. It has a color scheme featuring shades of blue, turquoise and orange, and we like the vibrant header image which shows the Las Vegas skyline. It’s not too over-the-top, but it’s eye-catching at the same time, and it’s certainly one of the better-looking social casinos we’ve encountered recently.
The usability is also top notch though, as you have a simple pop-out side menu where you can access important sections of the site like the game lobby, promotions, and the rewards page. There’s a decent amount of filters too for the games, and you can search for individual titles or games from specific developers if you know what you are looking for.
There’s a decent mobile browser version of the site
When we created this Wisespin review, we did NOT find a downloadable mobile app. Instead, you have to use the responsive browser version of the desktop site. This works just as good, and the layout will shrink automatically to fit on your smaller smartphone screen. We tested multiple games too, and all of them were optimized for mobile use, with smooth touchscreen controls.
Promotions at Wisespin
Like we mentioned in our Wisespin bonus review, this site does a decent job of giving both new and existing customers a nice range of promotions. Throughout our time testing the site, we never felt like we were short on virtual currencies, and although there isn’t yet anything like a referral program, there’s other things like the VIP program, daily login bonus, and missions.
Wisespin signup bonus
The first promotion you will likely get is the no purchase bonus/welcome bonus. This is only available for new customers who have just registered a new, valid Wisespin account. When we registered and logged in for the first time, we got the following:
- 20,000 GC and 2 SC on sign up.
- Discounted GC package of $9.99 for 75,000 GC, and after the GC purchase, get 25 bonus SC.
To give context, our expected benchmark for the sweepstakes casino no purchase bonus is 7,500 GC and 2 SC, so Wisespin gives a little more than this, and we found that 20,000 GC offered superb playability.
The discounted Gold Coin package is completely optional though and you do not need to purchase it to enjoy this social casino. However, it does equate to over a 100% bonus in terms of the GC you get, and we purchased it straight away.
Other promotions and features we found
With our signup bonus unlocked, we had a little fun trying out the slots, but then started checking for other promotional features, and we found:
- Mail-in bonus.
- Daily login bonus.
- Missions.
- Slot tournaments.
- VIP program.
The mail-in bonus is below average at 1 SC which could be improved – many sites give as much as 5 SC for their mail-in offer. Similarly, while the daily bonus wheel does have a range of awesome GC bonuses, you can only get 0.10 SC max which isn’t great, and this isn’t guaranteed as many of the slots are GC-only bonuses. Additionally, there are two segments on the wheel where you get no bonus at all, which is something we’ve never seen at any other social casino before.
Lastly, you can also join the Wisespin VIP program which has 7 tiers that you can move up, from Thinker to Genius. You get 1 VIP point for every 1 SC or 10,000 Gold Coins you play with, and as you progress through the tiers, you can unlock new perks such as level-up bonuses, weekly bonuses, up to a 5% SC rakeback, and a VIP account manager.
We think the VIP program is exceptional, and an interesting thing to note is that you have the option of using your VIP points to make optional GC purchases with, which is again a unique feature.
Our verdict – Wisespin gets off to a good start
After completing our Wisespin review, we were happy with our initial findings, and we think it has the potential to be a top contender. The site looks great, there’s a brilliant selection of promotions, and they have really nailed it with the slot collection and the different game mechanics that you can try out.
However, there are a few improvements that would also help, such as adding other game genres like table games and arcade games, and perhaps creating a mobile app. But, we are happy to wait for these features, and right now we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
