I wanted to try my hand at a new mystery box site, and a friend recommended this platform. Based on an early Unbox.gg review, I realized this site features hundreds of mystery boxes with various items you can pull.
Interestingly, I could pull everything from simple items like a sticker or paper clip to luxurious products like cars and tech gadgets. I found mystery boxes at different prices, ranging from 0.09 Tokens to 2,500.98 Tokens. I wasted no time testing and buying mystery boxes, exploring available promotions, and accessing extra features like Battles and Upgrader.

How does Unbox.gg work?
It’s a mystery box site that lets you pull different kinds of items such as shoes, clothing, electronics, gaming, watches, jewelry, and merchandise. One thing I found lacking on the platform is that the mystery boxes are not organized into categories like sports, tech, or fashion.
You’ll have to sort through the mystery boxes by price tier ($0.09 to $2,500) and pick each one to see what items you can pull. Still, the platform lets you pay for a mystery box but won’t reveal what you’ll pull until you buy it. However, it doesn’t leave you in the dark, as it provides a list of items you can pull.
Here’s what I mean: I found a mystery box tagged Vision for $60.33. Here’s a breakdown of items I could potentially pull from this pack.
| Items | Price | Chance of pulling it |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Xbox x Gucci Series X Special Edition (EU Plug) | $6,804 | 0.001% |
| Apple Vision Pro (1 TB) | $4,600 | 0.05% |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max, Deep Blue, 2 TB | $2,400 | 0.05% |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max, Silver, 1 TB | $1,920 | 0.7% |
| iPhone 17 Pro, Deep Blue, 512 GB | $1,560 | 0.7% |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max, Silver, 256 GB | $1,500 | 0.7% |
| iPhone 16, White, 128 GB | $900 | 0.7% |
| $250 Voucher | $250 | 3.45% |
| Gym Chalk | $19 | 93.649% |
I was able to pull a $250 voucher, which I could use to purchase other mystery boxes on the platform.
Types of currencies at Unbox.gg
Unbox.gg operates via Fun Coins and Tokens. While both are on-site currencies, they function differently. Fun Coins let you unbox mystery boxes for fun. You cannot withdraw them at any time.
On the other hand, Tokens are real-value currency. You spend them on mystery boxes as well, and you can withdraw them for real cash. Just ensure you meet the 1x wagering requirement before requesting a withdrawal.
Is Unbox.gg legit?
Yes, it is. I read its terms and found that a Cyprus-based company called Restack Ltd owns and operates the mystery box site. Unbox.gg uses provably fair technology, so you can verify the outcome of items you pull from a mystery box. It also clearly displays the potential items you can pull from each pack, along with the chances of getting them.
In addition, the platform emphasizes proper identity verification before you can withdraw or ship a preferred item to your home address.
What is the welcome bonus at Unbox.gg?
Based on my assessments, I found an Unbox.gg bonus in the form of a daily case when I signed up for an account on this platform. This gave me a sense of how the brand operates, and I didn’t need a promo code to claim or unbox it.
The case contained items like a paper clip ($0.01), 2009 New Year’s glasses ($0.02), an Air Jordan Sticker ($0.10), a Christmas tree keychain ($0.50), a Displate magnet ($1), My Hero Academia: Eri Funko Pop ($8), and Valorant champions merch ($45).
I ended up pulling a paper clip when I finally opened it, which I sold to the platform immediately, and the amount ($0.01) was added to my wallet.
Other promotions available at Unbox.gg
The free daily case is only the start. Once you open it, the site offers a whole menu of extras. They include:
Rakeback
Rakeback hands a slice of the platform’s edge on your play back to you in Tokens. It comes in 3 flavors:
- Instant: Claim it any time you like.
- Weekly: Claim it from Friday through Saturday.
- Monthly: It unlocks on the 5th of each month and stays open for 24 hours.
Daily races
Every day, players race up a leaderboard for a share of the Token prize pool. During my assessment, the top 15 split a 5,000 Token pool. First place takes 900 Tokens, second gets 650, and third gets 450. The rest of the top 15 share what’s left. Every box you open pushes you up the board, so it rewards steady play.
Daily cases
Unbox.gg also offers other daily cases you can claim once every 24 hours, but they unlock when you add a minimum amount of Tokens to your balance. Daily Recruit Degen II asks for a deposit of 31.07 Tokens. Daily Recruit Degen III asks for 81.60 Tokens.
Chat rain
This is a fun one. Every 20 to 60 minutes, a rain event pops up in the community chat. You get 2 minutes to tap Join and finish the captcha. The minimum reward is 5 Tokens, and it increases as you play. But if you miss a window, don’t worry. Simply wait for the next one by keeping the community chat open.
VIP Program
Unbox.gg has 300 VIP tiers. You move up by spending Tokens on mystery boxes, so your rank grows with your play. I should also mention there’s a $50,000 reward for the first person to reach level 270. While that may be pretty difficult to reach since you’re just starting out, I found it a cool way to keep everyone engaged.
Fun Coins faucet
This one is simple. You can claim 200 Fun Coins every hour. If you check in all day long, that adds up to 4,800 Fun Coins.
A closer look at Unbox.gg’s usability and mobile app experience
The site feels like a live arena. A chat runs along the side, a live feed shows recent pulls, and banners push races and rewards. The menu is split into different categories: Battles, Cases, Upgrader, Rewards, and Race. So, it’s easy to find what you are looking for within a couple of clicks.
During my review, I didn’t spot any dedicated app that I needed to download. The site is well optimized for small screens, so you can play right from a mobile device or PC. I actually like it that way, since I don’t have to install anything.
But every now and then, I miss out on those fun app alerts that notify you of ongoing promotions. Hopefully, there’s a mobile app in the works. But for now, the browser version works pretty well.
Available payment methods at Unbox.gg
Unbox.gg provides a list of payment options to top up your Fun Coins and Tokens balance. Based on my assessment, I can add funds with Visa, Mastercard, or crypto like BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC and SOL, plus gift cards through partners.
In terms of payouts, you can only use cryptocurrency. Remember, only Tokens are withdrawable and must be spent at least once on the platform. Also, expect payout processing to be instant. Please note that you must verify your identity if it’s your first time making a withdrawal.
Reviewing Unbox.gg customer service
Unbox.gg support is available through live chat, Discord, X, Kick, and Instagram. I decided to use Discord since it’s my go-to chat app. I clicked the Discord icon in the page’s footer section so I could enter the right channel.
When I got in, I was asked to submit a ticket. I discussed my issue, which was understanding the difference between Fun Coins and Tokens. I got a response within 20 minutes, and the issue was resolved. The agent was professional and calm in answering my follow-up questions.
