Operated by VVMLeads Inc., SweepStars is a rising social casino to look out for. This SweepStars review is something you should consider, as we’ve tested it to see what it has to offer to customers.
So far, we’ve had strong first impressions, and saw that it has a varied game library comprised of live dealer titles, slots and so on. There’s also plenty of promotions to choose from. Continue reading below to learn more about the site’s legitimacy, transparency, and whether it’s worth your time or if you should move on to another.
Reviewing the legitimacy of SweepStars – what we found
First up for this SweepStars review, we wanted to make sure this is a legit brand! This is why we looked at features like regulatory compliance, customer support, and how the virtual currencies work here.
Licensing
This site doesn’t need a gaming license because it’s not a real money operator. Instead, after checking, we found it was compliant with US sweepstakes regulations. You can’t use real money here, and you can only ever play the games using your GC or SC. Additionally, we were happy to see that the site complies with the “no purchase necessary” requirement and offers multiple ways to get virtual currency to play with.
Customer support
There is a direct US telephone line that you can use for GC purchase queries, but it is NOT a general support line, so they won’t be able to help with anything else. Instead, click the personal manager link in the left menu to access the live chat box. We’ve checked this multiple times at different hours and on different days, and it looks to be monitored 24/7.
You have to speak to an AI chatbot first, but we found them quite helpful. If they can’t resolve your query, you can speak to a human rep. It’s also important to note that we didn’t find anything like a help center – only a pop-up that explains how the site works.

Security and transparency
The transparency for SweepStars is superb. You’ve got all the documents and pages we expect a legit social casino to have, including a restricted sheets page, sweepstakes rules, responsible social gaming policy and tools, a privacy policy, general terms and conditions, a cookie policy, and even a data deletion procedure if you don’t want to share your info anymore.
To add to that, the actual website security is fine. You’ve got SSL encryption and active geoblocking tools to prevent people from outside the US from accessing the site. We also liked that you have to verify your ID before you can play with your virtual currencies.
Virtual currencies
SweepStars uses three virtual currencies – Gold Coins (GC), Sweeps Coins (SC), and Star Dust (SD). Gold Coins can be optionally purchased in GC packages starting at $4.99, and we completed these transactions using Visa, MasterCard, or online banking.
You can also redeem SC winnings for cash prizes or gift cards. You need 100 SC for cash prizes, and 50 SC for gift cards. There’s also a 1x bonus SC playthrough, and you’ll have to fully verify your ID and complete your profile to make a redemption, or even to play any of the games here. We rate this as one of the better social casinos when it comes to redemption processing times too, as they typically take between 24-48 hours to process.

What did we think of the gaming experience at SweepStars?
Gaming is why we play at sweepstakes casinos, so for this SweepStars review, we made sure to spend a heap of time browsing and playing the titles it offers. It has a brilliant selection to choose from, and we think that regardless of what types of games you like to play, you’ll find something you will enjoy.
They work with 10+ software developers
Without fail, when creating a social casino games review, we look at who provides the titles, and in the case of SweepStars, they work with these developers:
1Spin4Win, Jili, Zephyr Slots, Avatar UX, KA Gaming, Iconic 21, Kendoo, Endorphina, Bar Bara Bang, Galaxysys, InOut, Dynabit Gaming, BGaming, Formula Spin, Ela Games, Playson, 3 Oaks Gaming, Onlyplay, Platypus, Gamzix, Turbo Games, and Megafair.
We’ve played games from most of the operators before, and the names we didn’t recognize, like Turbo Games and Megafair, we did some background checks and found them to be licensed and legit.
There’s plenty of game variety
No matter what you want to play here, we think SweepStars will deliver, and it features video slots, table games, arcade games, crash games, live dealers, live game shows, and scratchcards.
For video slots, you’ve got loads of different game mechanics, such as:
- Megaways.
- Hold and Win.
- Bonus Buy.
- Get Feature.
- Fruit Machines.
- In-game jackpots.
We had fun playing slots from 3 Oaks Gaming and Playson, and 3-reel classics like Chilli Coins Hold and Win, Clover Strike Hold and Win, 3 Wolf Drums, and Timeless Diamonds.
We liked the fishing arcade games from KA Gaming
If you want a little more intense gaming experience, then you need to check out the fishing arcade shooter games from KA Gaming – these things are bonkers! You get to shoot an animated weapon at different moving targets and can get GC or SC prizes for destroying them. Some of our top picks here include:
- Pirate War
- Legend of Monkey
- Octopus Legend
- KA Fish Party
- Superb live dealer collection featuring live game shows and live table games
- Dedicated Megaways slot selection with classic titles
- Small single player table game collection
Is the SweepStars website easy to use?
We always check out the usability of a new sweepstakes casino for both its mobile and desktop versions. For mobile gaming, there IS a download link for an app, but we just couldn’t get it to work – it looks to be a broken link. Because of that, we simply used the mobile broser version of the site, which works flawlessly. You get smooth navigation and mobile-optimized gameplay.w
The desktop website looks brilliant, and we like how they’ve created the galaxy/universe/star theme to fit with the branding. Pretty much everything can be done from the expanded left-hand menu, including navigating the games, looking at promos, and checking your user profile. This is also a technically competent website, with the only error we found being the mobile download link. We think that whether you’re a new to sweepstakes casinos or not, you will find SweepStars easy to use and reliable.
Looking at the promotions at SweepStars
A cornerstone of any good sweepstakes casino is its promotions, and we were happy to see a solid selection of bonuses at SweepStars, starting with a signup bonus and optional discounted GC packages.
There’s a 15,000 GC and 1 SC welcome bonus
When we created our SweepStars login and used it for the first time, we were given 15,000 Gold Coins (GC) and 1 Sweeps Coin (SC) as a signup bonus. Now, this is not the biggest welcome bonus you will see by any means, and some sites give as much as 100,000 GC and 2 SC. However, we thought it was enough to start with, and it offered excellent playability.
On top of that, there were 4x discounted Gold Coin packages you could purchase with a 100%+ discount. These ranged from $9.99 to $199.99, and we think they were all good value.
You can get a range of other useful promos and features
The welcome bonus is just one thing, and you can learn in more detail about the other things this site has by reading our separate SweepStars promo code review. However, we’ll give you a summary here:
- Daily login bonus/wheel spin.
- 1 SC mail-in bonus.
- Daily missions.
- Star Dust hub.
- Referral scheme.
- Game races/tournaments.
You will notice that we haven’t mentioned a VIP program, and that’s because we couldn’t see one – hopefully this, or a loyalty scheme, will be added in the future. Most of the other bonuses are in line with our expectations from other sweepstakes casinos we’ve tested.
Our verdict – SweepStars is one of the best new US social casinos
We hope you’ve found this SweepStars review helpful. You should be able to see that we rate this new site highly, and that we will not hesitate to recommend it. We haven’t seen a social casino release as complete as this in a while now, and it’s been refreshing to explore the awesome game library, the different features of the site, and the interesting Star Dust system.
They need to fix the broken mobile download link, though, and a VIP program would perhaps be the icing on the cake. These are minor things, though, and right now this social casino will give you plenty of safe entertainment.
All you need to do now is click any of the banners we’ve got on this page and go through the SweepStars register process to get signed up and try it out.
