Levels of Account Verification
The above Stake registration process is the first step. There’s a second part, verification – and at Stake, it’s a four-level process:
Level 1: Email verification
Level 1 is the simplest and will be instant. Involves entering an email verification code valid for 1 hour.
Level 2: Identity Verification
Once done with email verification, it’s time to verify your identity. Before the document part, Stake requires a few more details, mainly about your address. Supporting documents – National photo ID, passport, driver’s license
Editor’s notes: Before you’re able to deposit and start playing with real money, Stake will prompt you to verify your identity. You get this verification request by tapping on Wallet, or you can access the page through Account Settings. Level 2 verification is the part where Stake.com confirms that you are a real person by matching your personal details with an official identity document.
Level 3: Proof of Address
The next part is to upload proof of address documents. Stake goes beyond recent utility bills to include alternative documents such as a tenancy agreement letter, a bank reference letter, a council tax letter, and a government tax letter. The rule here is that they should be lying on a flat surface with all four (4) corners in the frame and all information clear. This can take 1-2 working days.
Level 4: Source of Funds
The last verification step at Stake is to show your source of funds. This begins by providing occupation information, including occupation industry, occupation, and experience. Then you’ll upload documents such as bank statements, paychecks, tax returns, gifts, investment statements, real estate, business income, loans, divorce settlements, and inheritance. This can take 2-5 working days.

Once You’ve Created Your Account, Logging in is a Breeze

I’ve included an extract of the relevant articles (see below) for you read in case you’re even unable to access the terms and conditions from where you’re based.
Articles 14.3 and 14.4 of Stake.com’s Terms and Conditions identifies the ‘prohibited jurisdictions’ and further prohibits any use of VPNs or proxies to access the site.
☑️ Editor’s advice: You should know and remember that you are responsible for checking the status of online gambling in your country. Stake.com restricts players from signing up from countries which require a domestic license to serve the local population. Even if your country is not on the list of restricted countries, you should still check. Importantly, the use of a VPN to “manipulate your real location” is a breach of Stake’s terms of use. They’re able to detect VPNs and will shut down accounts they suspect.
Can Stake.com Be Played on Mobile?
Absolutely – Stake has a great mobile-optimized website.
There’s no Stake.com app to download. I’ve tested Stake on mobile and its performance is flawless. I ran a few tests on games like Aviator to test site speed and can report that it works well. Aviator is one of those games which gives you a timer to place your bet before the plane takes off.
It can be frustrating to have an app suddenly crash or website lagging when you’re placing a bet or worse, after you’ve actually placed the bet and won’t be able to cash out! I experienced none of this playing on Stake’s mobile site.
