The site is legal in the majority of regions and jurisdictions around the world, including over 28 US states. But always be sure to check your local laws to see if the site can be accessed legally in your country or state.
Additionally, the brand comes with a solid reputation when you look for other expert Sleeper reviews online, in addition to strong user feedback. They’ve also managed to build a strong community on all of their social media pages, with over 240,000 followers on X. Moreover, another sign that you can trust this site comes in the form of its advanced security measures. This includes SSL encryption software to protect your personal and financial info while exploring the site and completing transactions.
Is there a rewards program at Sleeper?
Sleeper is not one of the new daily fantasy sites, it’s been around since 2015, so I was surprised to see no loyalty or VIP program being offered at this site. In this Sleeper review, I found a daily fantasy site that was very user-friendly and easy to use. The layout is simplistic for both mobile and desktop users, with a minimalistic approach. With picks More/Less, the rules are simple: you’ll need to select if you think a player will score more points or fewer points, based on the betting line provided by Sleeper. For example, if the betting line is set for Steph Curry to score 28.5 points in his next game, you’ll need to pick if you think it will be more or less than this number. You’ll need to pick at least 2 players, up to a maximum of 8 players, in this contest. Additionally, you can make picks pre-game or in-game, and you can choose picks from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, college teams, and many more sports leagues.
Daily Draft also offers simple gameplay; you’ll be able to take your pick between fantasy football, fantasy basketball, football, and college sports. For this example, I’ll take a closer look at the football draft, but the process is similar at all three. When you’ve created a league, you’ll be able to choose between all players, rookie players only, or vets only. Additionally, you can pick from three different draft types, which include:
- Snake – Draft in a specified or randomized order. Each round, the order reverses.
- Linear – Return to the beginning of the order each round.
- Auction – Managers draft players by bidding on their Auction budget.
The salary cap can vary depending on your sport or contest setup, but in my draft, we received a $200 budget. In auction mode, you’ll need to bid against other players in your draft to get the picks you want. Once your league has confirmed its picks, it’s time to sit back and relax, let the action unfold, and your team will begin to receive points based on your players’ performances.
Prize pools – Flexible & fixed rewards
More/Less contests at Sleeper offer a simple way to look at prize pools. The more picks you make, the higher your potential payout multiplier will be. There’s a potential for payouts to reach a 100x multiplier, but you’ll need to make at least 8 picks for this and have guessed all of them correctly.
Additionally, there is a Sleeper Picks injury insurance policy for NFL, NBA, and MLB games. If your player is removed from the game in the first half due to an injury or illness and does not return, you could still win your contest. However, if you do win, you’ll receive an adjusted payout based on the number of players injured. There is also a chance that the entire bet will be canceled and refunded if adjustments are not feasible.
For Daily Draft, the prize pools vary widely and are affected by multiple factors, from the initial entry fee to the number of participants, your current location, and the type of contest. For example, as an American-based player, I can play with as little as a $1 entry fee, and the winner will walk away with $4, while second place takes $2, and third takes $1. Alternatively, you could enter a $1,000 head-to-head contest where first place receives $1,000.
A strong community spirit
In this Sleeper review, I found a DFS site that was driven by strong community engagement. When you’ve completed the Sleeper register process and are logged into your account, you will find a messaging tab. This allows you to add other players on the site to your friends list and send them direct messages.
