How does ProphetX work?
I felt it would be a great idea to start this ProphetX review by exploring how the platform works. ProphetX is a CFTC-regulated sports prediction market that operates under federal oversight as a designated contract market. If that sounds complicated, don’t worry, we’ve got you.
Unlike regular sports betting apps, ProphetX is a sports prediction market, so you won’t find any odds or house edge here. Instead, you’re trading event contracts on sporting outcomes, priced between 1 cent and 99 cents, and the market sets the price based on what other traders think the probability of the outcome is. A Yes contract priced at $0.55, for example, gives that outcome an implied 55% chance of happening.
All event contracts settle at $1. If your trade is successful, you get back your original stake plus your profit, minus the 2% fee ProphetX takes. You can buy and sell your position at any time before the outcome settles, as long as there is enough liquidity. If things swing in your favor, you can sell and exit early, or you can wait for the market to settle.
Prophet X welcome offer – Trade $50, Get $75 in Trade Credits
As I mentioned earlier in this ProphetX review, the operator has some standout offers to welcome new traders after the relaunch. To start off, new traders can get $75 in Trade credits over 14 days after making their first $5 in trades. To qualify, you need to deposit at least $10 and place $50 in trades on sports event contracts priced at $0.80 or below within 30 days of your account being verified.
Instead of receiving these credits in one lump sum, they will be distributed as three separate $25 Trade Credits. The first one will land in your account right after you have made the qualifying trades, with the other two arriving on days 7 and 14. Keep in mind these Trade Credits expire within 45 days and carry a 1x trading requirement before they can be withdrawn.
Other promotions and offers for existing traders.
It doesn’t stop after you can claim your welcome offer. In fact, I found that there were a few different ways that you could get your hands on some extra trade credits through ProphetX’s ongoing offers. Here are some of the other bonus options I came across.
Liquidity Program
If you’re a trader who adds extra liquidity to selected markets, you could have a chance to get yourself a share of the daily pool. In this offer, ProphetX has a pool of up to $6,000 daily for those who add liquidity to selected sports markets. When you place a market order on one of these markets at your own price, it sits on the order book until another trader matches it.
Referral program
Sign up your friends to ProphetX, and you can get yourself up to $50 in trade credits per referral. You receive $25 in Trade Credits for your first qualifying referral, increasing by $5 for each referral after that, up to a cap of $50 once you have referred 6 or more traders. To qualify, your referral must verify their account and trade at least $50 within 30 days of joining.

Usability and feel – A easy-to-navigate prediction market
ProphetX has had a full revamp recently, bringing both the desktop site and app up another level. It features a dark background, complemented by neon green and white text, which helps prevent eye strain if you stay on the platform for extended periods.
In terms of navigation, everything has been laid out to make things easier for traders. ProphetX lists all the available sports in the left pane. For instance, you’ll find a list of all the major leagues, allowing you to browse the available predictions without problems.
At the header, there are links to the wallet and your available balance, making it easy to keep track of your funds. I also liked the horizontal bar just underneath, which shows trending sports predictions, the current offer, and tabs for browsing sports.
Click on any market of your choice, and you’ll find a list of available leagues, properly structured by date, along with their market prices. Your order slip is also easy to monitor, as it sits in a dedicated right pane, just like on other prediction markets.
At the very bottom of the page, there are also links to important pages, such as the Help Center, contact page, rules, and a guide to using the platform. Most importantly, you can find the link to responsible trading if you ever need to set yourself some trading limits.
The ProphetX app
The real standout here would have to be the iOS and android app available for download through the Android and Apple app stores. The apps offer all the same features as the desktop site and also went through the same modernization. You can fund your account, claim bonuses, buy and sell positions and withdraw just with a tap.
One of the big features here is that app updates trading charts real time meaning if there is a swing in the market you can change your position directly on your phone. At the time of writing the Andriod app holds a 4.3 star rating on the Google play store while the Apple App store has it at 3,500 reviews with a 4.7 star rating.
What are the prediction markets at ProphetX?
ProphetX focuses entirely on sports, so you won’t find financial, economic, or cultural markets here. The selection mostly covers major US and international leagues, with markets for most of the sports US traders are interested in. The market coverage doesn’t extend to niche markets the way some of the more established operators do, but the overall selection is decent considering the recent relaunch.

Funding and withdrawing is no hassle at ProphetX
I don’t know about you, but platforms with a difficult deposit and withdrawal process are extremely frustrating. Fortunately, none of these issues were present in my ProphetX review. Like its design, the process opts for simplicity, allowing you to fund your account using Visa, Mastercard, PayNearMe, Discover, and Trustly online banking. I found that the minimum deposit starts as low as $10, which is pretty standard.
However, the maximum deposit is $5,000, making it ideal for high-volume traders. Even better, deposits are instant and incur no fees.
Withdrawals from ProphetX run through the same methods as deposits, other than PayNearMe, and take anywhere from instant to 3 or 4 days depending on the method. There’s good news, though. It has a very low $1 minimum withdrawal and charges no fees at its end.
Prophet X customer support – Help is available via numerous outlets
The first thing I noticed when evaluating the reliability of the support team during my ProphetX review was the numerous options available. You’ll find the standard help options, including a message, email, telephone, and a detailed Help Center.
Unfortunately, the operator does not offer a live chat. What’s more, the support team is not accessible 24/7 and can only be reached from 10 AM to 10 PM EST. Still, the available options work fine, and the help center features answers to many important questions, making it an ideal choice if you want to quickly find answers.

Conclusion – Is trading at ProphetX worth it?
The ProphetX platform is one I’d recommend if you want a pure sports prediction platform. They are offering new traders a strong welcome offer of “Trade $50, Get $75 in Trade Credits” after signing up and verifying your account, plus a Liquidity rewards and referral program for you to get your hands on extra trade credits.
However, like any platform, it has a few areas that could improve. The sports selection doesn’t have niche markets quite yet like other prediction markets, and there is no live chat. Still, these did not have a major impact on my time checking them out.
