Rawstakes turns pocket change into max win live on stream
Rawstakes hit a max win while streaming live that was so casual in its execution, it left many of his viewers believing they could pull off the same thing themselves with the right amount of luck.
Max wins are rare in online slots and related games of chance, and many players believe they’re only possible when making high-stakes bets. Rawstakes shattered that myth by turning a pocket change bet into a 10,000x max win on Retro Tapes Cluster during a lives stream on Kick. Judging by his calm reaction to the winning stroke of luck, it was clear this wasn’t anything new to him. The streamer knew exactly what he was doing, relying on a degree of strategy to line up the perfect board and secure what became a mouth-watering payout.
Here’s how Rawstakes turned a measly $3 into a $1,000 payout without even breaking a sweat.
Rawstakes hits max win on Retro Tapes Cluster
Rawstakes started with a small bet and the free spins feature of the Retro Tapes Cluster. The initial spins had already built up a decent return, but things took a turn by the final spin. Coins with various values, including a standout gold 100x coin, are clustered with wild multipliers including x5, x6, and x4, which in Retro Tapes multiply together when connected in a tight cluster.
At this point, the displayed win was showing as just $2.80, but that’s before the full cluster payout was calculated. Only seconds later, the streamer wins the full amount of $1,219.20, confirming that the wilds had successfully multiplied across a cluster of high-value coins.
This wasn’t just a random big hit, either. It’s the exact kind of setup needed to trigger the game’s full max win cap. The chat immediately began to explode with viewers catching on to what was unfolding.
Despite the on-screen value of $1,219.20, the game displays the official payout as $997.20. This discrepancy is normal. Retro Tapes has a hardcoded maximum win cap of 10,000x, meaning that regardless of the final cluster value calculated in the game’s mechanics, the payout will not exceed the capped maximum. Since Rawstakes was betting $0.10 per spin, the absolute maximum he could win from the game was $1,000.00 no matter what played out across the board, and the game adjusts the final payout accordingly to stay within that max win cap.
The game then flashed bold text reading “1,000.00 x 10,000,” officially confirming that the max win cap has been hit. Rawstakes’ starting balance was $87.49, and this single spin added $1,000 from just a $0.10 starting bet. This was a clean 10,000x win.
If you’re familiar with Retro Tapes, you know exactly how difficult it is to align wild multipliers with high-value coins, let alone connect enough of them to reach the game’s max win cap. That’s exactly what made Rawstakes’ 10,000x win all the more impressive, particularly given that he managed it live on stream.
