Triumphant Light is adding a number of new and rare cards to the Pokemon TCG Pocket digital collection, there’s a higher chance for players to pull some than in past sets.
Pokemon TCG Pocket launched its latest mini-set on February 28, 2025. Themed around Arceus, Triumphant Light comes hot on the heels of the Space-Time Smackdown full booster pack and introduces a new take on some previously released Pokemon. Many players are especially looking forward to seeing the new rare cards introduced by this latest TCG Pocket set.
Though having fewer ultra-rare cards than some of the larger booster packs, Triumphant Light has plenty of rare stand-outs for players to look out for and hopefully draw.
Gold crown Arceus ex is the rarest card introduced in Triumphant Light, with a likelihood of pulling at just 0.040%.
Arceus ex may prove to be a meta-changing card, both because of its immunity to special conditions and its tie-in potential with other cards in the set. It can also do up to 130 damage, and that’s enough to take down popular cards including Mew ex and Celebi ex.
The only immersive rare in the set also features Arceus and has a 0.038% likelihood of being pulled in Pokemon TCG Pocket packs. Like gold crowns, each booster pack offers one immersive art rare option. Thus, sets like Space-Time Smackdown with two packs to open had two, and Triumphant Light has one. Duplicates of ex cards are common in sets. Notably, players have five different chances to collect Arceus.
Players will have a harder time getting two-star cards than the immersive Arceus ex, both with and without the rainbow border. Trimphant Light offers 13 different two-star cards, more than were previously seen in the comparably-sized Mythical Island. Each card only has a 0.038% chance of showing up. That list includes:
Because this latest card set is so small, players have a higher chance of getting rare cards from Triumphant Light than other released Pokemon TCG Pocket sets so far. It has 96 cards in total, with 75 cards in the main collection. Rarities depend on the size of the set. For example, the total rarity of gold crown cards in a set will always be equal to 0.040%. For Genetic Apex, players only have an 0.013% chance of pulling each one of the three most exclusive cards. The more booster packs available to open, then, the lower the chance is of pulling a rare card.
Unfortunately for dedicated collectors, the only way to unlock the rare cards in Triumphant Light is to get lucky with pack pulls and Wonder Picks.
As mentioned above, some TCG Pocket cards may be easier to get due to Triumphant Light’s smaller set size. Yet the only for sure way to get rare cards is by opening a lot of packs, either twice daily with the game’s free mode and more beyond by spending hourglasses, or with an additional daily pack with the game’s paid premium mode.
Players can get more hourglasses in a number of ways. These include by completing daily or special missions and by finishing AI battles for the first time.
The game may share Wonder Picks from other players who manage to get a rare Arceus ex or Leafeon ex. Once found, the odds of pulling the desired card then go from less than a tenth of a percent to a more manageable 20%. Eventually, trading for the rarest versions of these cards, including gold crown Arceus Ex, may become an option, but it isn’t likely for now.
This final extension of Gen 4 offers a number of competitive and rare Triumphant Light cards for players to add to their collection. No date or further information has been given yet for the next full set, so there’s plenty of time to try and collect as many Arceus ex cards as possible.
