RaKai banned from Twitch, here’s what we know
Twitch has banned popular streamer RaKai from the livestreaming platform, and fans are already speculating as to what exactly the content creator did. Here’s what we know about the ban.
RaKai is a significantly popular streamer who boasts close to 2 million followers on his Twitch channel. The streamer is known for his engaging streams and his collaborations with other popular content creators, notably including Kai Cenat. While he’s still relatively new to the streaming world, RaKai already has a massive and loyal fan following that supports his content.
Fans appreciate him for his sometimes over-the-top behaviors, but some of those behaviors go so far that they’ve resulted in backlash from viewers. He was previously banned from Twitch for reckless driving on stream after the moment went viral and resulted in much outrage. RaKai is now facing punishment from Twitch once again, as his channel has been banned from the platform for a third time.
Is RaKai’s Twitch ban permanent?
RaKai’s Twitch ban isn’t permanent judging by its violation message, so the streamer should be returning to streaming as soon as his temporary suspension period ends.
Opening RaKai’s Twitch channel displays that it is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of the
platform’s Community Guidelines
or Terms of Service. Twitch hasn’t officially revealed the reason for RaKai’s suspension, which is typical, as the livestreaming platform rarely comments directly on streamer bans. But the streamer apparently believes he was banned for lightning fireworks indoors.
He woke up to his channel being suspended and expressed his surprise in
Marlon “Mar3lg” Lundgren Garcia’s
stream upon discovering the ban. Fans were quick to react, with many suggesting that he should have known better given that such a dangerous act was sure to be against the rules on Twitch.

Some viewers have suggested that RaKai wasn’t banned for lighting fireworks indoors at all, and instead pointed to another potentially questionable action the streamer took live on stream. RaKai apparently performed a suggestive act his camera while streaming camera, and that may be the real reason for his Twitch ban. The platform takes such suggestive content quite seriously and has even banned streamers for jokes of this nature.
Regardless of the exact reason for it, the suspension stands all the same. As this isn’t RaKai’s first such ban, some fans have commented on the streamer not seeming to have learned anything from his previous suspensions, wondering if it’s only a matter of time before he finds himself banned yet again.
RaKai’s last ban was implemented because he was texting while driving during a stream. Twitch initially didn’t seem willing to take action against the streamer. But following significant backlash from around the platform about its
inconsistent rules
and moderation, RaKai was eventually banned.
