The Streamer Awards are always a highly-anticipated event, which is attended by some of the top content creators. There are numerous categories that various streamers are nominated for, and Kai Cenat set the record for winning the most awards in multiple categories in 2025. QTCinderella founded the annual industry celebration in 2022 and has now revealed details about when The Streamer Awards 2026 will happen.

QTCinderella and The Streamer Awards have been called out in the past for allegedly being biased against Kick streamers. The host has also been accused of only selecting her friends as winners. QTCinderella has refuted these allegations on numerous occasions, claiming that viewers choose the winners.
The 2026 version of the event has just been announced, and many viewers are already rushing to criticize it. Some claim that the same streamers as before will be nominated and awarded. A few users have also claimed that the event is rigged if Darren Jason “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. isn’t crowned the best streamer given that he is arguably the biggest content creator in the industry right now. However, iShowSpeed won the Streamer of the Year award in 2025 and will surely be among the favorites again in Novermber.
What controversies occurred during The Streamer Awards 2025?
There were multiple controversies during The Streamer Awards 2025, including one involving vtuber Ironmouse and another related to Fiona “fanfan”.
Streamer events almost always have drama, and The Streamer Awards 2025 was no different. Twitch streamer fanfan made a joke about Kai Cenat, referring to him as a controversial personality. This didn’t sit well with many fans, who accused the streamer of being gratuitously rude.
Vtuber Ironmouse also claimed she felt uncomfortable when she was approached by Rakai and Chen-Ruei “rayasianboy” Hsu, who asked invasive questions. The vtuber was attending the event through an iPad, and this left viewers divided on whom to support. Some sided with Ironmouse, while others claimed she could’ve turned off the iPad at any time.
With the 2026 Streamer Awards being announced, fans are curious what new drama and controversies will almost certainly accompany it.
