Team Vitality vs MKOI LEC Summer Playoffs

The LEC playoffs are well underway, and we have Team Vitality taking on MKOI in a do-or-die series. Lose here, and your chances of qualifying for Worlds 2026 go up in smoke. With Vitality getting dismantled by G2 Esports in their opening series, it begs the question whether it was just the G2 playoffs magic, or Vitality are not the team we thought they were. Let’s take a look at the best LoL betting markets you can wager on for this best-of-five.

Outright Winner

One of the easier bets to make is picking an outright winner, depending on who you think is going to come out on top. Both teams have strong odds to win outright. Taking Vitality to win this series has odds of 1.7, while MKOI is 2.0. This indicates that BC Game agrees with many fans that this series is going to be closer than what the teams’ regular-season records would indicate.

Vitality To Win Map One

Vitality will be kicking themselves that they did not have a better showing against G2 Esports in the first round of the upper bracket. Vitality started strong in game one, as was expected given how they have played the early game throughout the majority of the regular season. Even though KOI won their final series of the split, they are still a team in deep water and look far from the roster they have been.

With Vitality still having a stronger early game, expect them to come out of the gates swinging. They aren’t a bad team by any means; they have simply fallen to the same G2 playoffs magic that has been dominating the region for many years. Take Vitality to win the opening game of this best-of-five at odds of 1.78 at Stake.

☑️ My view

This is going to define a lot of players, and it’s going to be interesting to see which team can hold their nerve. Both have a point to prove, with Vitality coming into these playoffs as one of the higher seeds, and MKOI missing their own homestand. Not making the top four was an embarrassment to the organisation, which had to sit on the sidelines while the top four competed in their own event.

For Vitality, they came into the playoffs in good form, having finished in a favorable position. That said, they were exposed by G2; they were able to get advantages, but were never able to translate them into sizable leads. Along with their drafting not being up to scratch down the stretch. They left everything to be desired and could easily drop to MKOI in this series. So for this series, they need to remain calm and not allow MKOI to drag them into a scrappy game, which is something that Jojopyun has done incredibly well across his time both in the LEC and LCS.

It’s hard to put a scoreline on this, but I do think that Vitality is going to scrape a win here. It’s going to be a messy series if the nerves do get to VIT, but I don’t think this is the same MKOI side we have been accustomed to.
