- FAQs on PredictIt
Is there a PredictIt welcome bonus?
We looked, and there is currently no welcome bonus sitting on PredictIt. No signup credit, no matched funds, nothing waiting for you the moment you register. That tracks with what PredictIt is going for here, so the absence of a welcome offer is not really a mark against it. Even without a signup perk, however, PredictIt is known for the variety and depth of its politics prediction markets. From elections, and presidential outcomes, to state/local markets, PredictIt offers hundreds of markets that you can also sort by trading volume.
What is PredictIt like to use?
The homepage drops you straight into a grid of live markets, organized under category tabs like elections, president, congress, state or local, world, and weekly, so you can jump straight to whatever topic you care about most.
Each market card shows the event question, the current share prices in cents, and how many shares have traded so far. Featured markets even come with a full price history chart, letting you toggle between 7 day, 30 day, and 90 day views to see how a share price has moved over time, plus a short written breakdown explaining the context behind the numbers.
If we are being honest, the interface feels a little more spreadsheet than sleek app, and it is not winning any design awards. But once you realize how data dense every single market card is, that utilitarian look makes sense. You are not scrolling past flashy graphics, you are getting straight to the numbers that matter, and for an audience that wants the data, that tradeoff works in PredictIt’s favor.
Does PredictIt have a mobile app?
Short answer, no. PredictIt does not currently have an official app on Google Play or Apple’s App Store, so this is strictly a web based platform right now. The good news is the actual PredictIt website holds up fine on a mobile browser. It is not quite the same as a native app experience, but for a platform this data heavy, browsing through mobile Chrome or Safari gets the job done without much friction.
Now not every platform works like PredictIt, so if you are more into markets that never really close, check our roundup of the best perpetual prediction market sites.
How do deposits work on PredictIt?
| Payment option | Limits and fees | Processing details |
| Credit or debit card | $5 minimum deposit; PredictIt charges no deposit fee | Supports major cards such as Visa and Mastercard. |
| Original payment source | $25 minimum withdrawal; 5% fee, with a $5 minimum charge | Eligible funds are generally returned to the same method used to fund the account. |
| Bank transfer | Available for eligible withdrawals | Processing normally takes 3 to 10 business days, depending on account checks and banking timelines. |
Funding your account on PredictIt is fairly straightforward. You can add funds using major credit and debit cards like Visa and Mastercard, with a minimum deposit of just $5. PredictIt does not charge anything on their end for adding funds, so what you put in is what lands in your account. This is somewhat similar to what we found in a Kalshi review, where the standard bank and wire transfers are free.
One more small thing to keep in mind, deposits are paused daily during PredictIt’s system maintenance window, running from 4 AM to 5 AM Eastern Time.
How do withdrawals work on PredictIt?
Pulling funds back out follows a slightly different set of rules. The minimum withdrawal amount sits at $25 dollars, and PredictIt applies a 5% processing fee on the total amount, with a $5 minimum fee attached. Funds return to the original payment source, though bank transfers and mailed checks are also available depending on how you funded your account.
Processing time runs between 3 and 10 business days, so this is not an instant turnaround, plan accordingly if you are counting on funds landing quickly. Just like deposits, withdrawal requests pause during that same daily 4 AM to 5 AM Eastern maintenance window. Before you lock in PredictIt as your go to spot or look into a list of prediction market sites, itโs always important to look into a prediction market siteโs fees for deposits and withdrawals.
What is customer service like at PredictIt?
PredictIt keeps its support almost entirely online. There is a dedicated Help and Support page packed with FAQs and how-to guides, and if none of those answer your question, you can submit a support ticket directly, filling in a subject line, your message, and an optional attachment if needed. There is an official support email, but we did not find a phone line, live chat agent, or chatbot anywhere on the official site.
We l sent a message through the support ticket system. As of writing this, we are still waiting to hear back seven hours later, so response time is not instant. That said, the FAQ section covers most of the basics well with sixteen questions alone just in the first category. If your question is a common one, chances are high you will find the answer there before ever needing to file a ticket.
Is PredictIt regulated and secure?
PredictIt has real academic roots. It was co-founded in 2014 by brothers John Aristotle Phillips and Dean Phillips, both executives at the political technology firm Aristotle Inc, working in partnership with Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
That said, PredictIt operates in the United States regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which is the federal body overseeing this kind of market activity. As for how they handle your information, PredictIt runs a standard Privacy Policy covering how account and payment data gets collected and used, and the signup process itself is protected by reCAPTCHA, with account creation requiring you to confirm you are at least 18 years old.
Is there a PredictIt VIP or rewards program?
No, we looked and there is no VIP tier or loyalty program sitting anywhere on PredictIt. No point system, no rewards club, no tiered perks for frequent traders. Some prediction market sites do offer a rewards program, like what we found in a Polymarket review, another platform takes a pretty different approach to rewarding active traders.

So that is the full breakdown of PredictIt, warts and all. The whole site still runs on this old school ticker energy, green and red arrows next to every price, cents instead of dollars, charts that look like they belong on a finance terminal rather than a casual app. It should feel dated, but somehow it just adds to the whole vibe, like you stumbled into a room where people actually know what they are talking about.
We walked away impressed, not because PredictIt tries hard to look cool, but because it does not try at all, and that confidence is kind of rare. Click our on-page banners to head over to PredictIt and check out the markets for yourself, then come back to this guide anytime you need a refresher on how everything works.
