Are prediction markets covering LoL Worlds 2026?
Since prediction markets already cover esports-related games such as League of Legends and Valorant, it makes sense that they would also cover 2026 LoL Worlds.
In addition to just outright winner markets being present on multiple prediction market platforms, there are also more specific markets that players can trade in. These range from which team will make it to the grand final to which region the winning team will hail from this year.
☑️ Editor’s Take
Worlds 2026 will see huge trading volume on the two big prediction market platforms. Polymarket especially is offering plenty of contracts that extend well beyond simply which team will win the grand final., and I expect thousands of viewers to try trading for the first time over the next month,

One of the most popular trading markets to expect is which individual player will be named the Most Valuable Player of the Grand Final, rather than the MVP of the entire tournament. Gumayusi walked away with this title after T1 won Worlds last year, but there’s a good chance that things will be different this time around. After all, Gumayusi isn’t even on the same team anymore, ensuring that things will be different one way or another.
As the widget from Polymarket below shows, Gen.G’s Chovy currently has 15% implied probability of claiming the honor in the grand final, though this percentage will clearly fluctuate as the tournament unfolds.
Naturally, not every LoL prediction market has the same trading volume. For example, the market for which team will be crowned the champion this year has more volume than any other market on every platform, especially compared to more specific markets.

While there are a couple of platforms where traders can try their luck during this year’s LoL Worlds, Polymarket and Kalshi are easily at the forefront.
Polymarket is likely the most popular prediction market trading platform. It covers more than just the tournament winner, letting traders trade in markets such as the winning region, finals MVP, and even something as specific as whether Faker will win an MVP title at any point in the tournament.

Kalshi is also a strong favorite for traders. In particular, the platform has seen substantial trading volume ahead of Worlds 2026. Every contract is clearly defined and specified, and it helps that Kalshi operates as a CFTC-regulated designated contract market in the United States. The platform itself is very easy to use, ensuring that traders know what they’re putting their money towards.

Recommended prediction markets for LoL Worlds 2026
Kalshi and Polymarket both have prediction markets with substantial trading volumes that League of Legends traders can potentially get in on.

The most straightforward prediction market is the one banking on which team will win the 2026 LoL Worlds grand final. Kalshi has Gen.G ranked first with 33%, which makes sense, considering how well the team performed throughout the year. T1’s hat-trick win last year ensured that it would be the second favorite to win Worlds this year as well, with 19%.
While teams such as Anyone’s Legend and Bilibili Gaming have a decent chance of winning, that doesn’t apply to every team. For example, Top Esports has a less than 1% chance of winning according to Kalshi, which could hold potential for TES fans. This is the most black-and-white prediction market for LoL Worlds 2026.
☑️ My Take
While Gen.G does seem to be the favorite to win by a significant margin, the team’s performance at Worlds doesn’t really stack up to its expectations. It could be a better idea to bank on teams that have proven to win Worlds before, whether it be T1 with its multiple trophies, or even BLG, considering the team’s excellent performance this year and at the 2024 World Championship.
Will a team from LCK (South Korea) win LoL Worlds 2026?

While there are multiple regions competing for first place at this year’s Worlds, it isn’t a stretch to say that the South Korean teams are considered the favorites. Even using the Kalshi prediction market that we mentioned as an example, the top three teams are Gen.G, T1, and HLE, which are all LCK teams and Polymarket traders currently give 68% implied probability.
This isn’t to say that a different region can’t win Worlds this year. In particular, the LPL has been very active this year with teams such as BLG and Anyone’s Legend. While the LEC isn’t in as good a spot, and hasn’t been for some years, G2 Esports has a decent chance of causing a major upset. This makes Polymarket’s prediction market potential high.
☑️ My Take
Unlike with the Kalshi example, there’s a strong chance that an LCK team will come out on top this year. This is because the three powerhouse LCK teams have all performed so outstandingly this year that it’s tough to see them be contested too much.
