The streaming community is abuzz with news about Maxwell “PlaqueBoyMax” Dent and Rangesh “N3on” Mutama both collaborating with Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg.

Streamers have started entering mainstream media, with the clearest example being Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr., who livestreamed the FIFA World Cup 2026. He isn’t the only one, as Kai Cenat is another creator who recently held the Streamer University 2026, which Meta, Dell, Red Bull, and more sponsored. Now, streamers are also appearing in Hollywood events, with Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter being a prime example.

N3on and PlaqueBoyMax are also expanding their brands by announcing a collaboration with Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg, though recent online rumors suggest that organizing the PlaqueBoyMax stream may not be that straightforward.

PlaqueBoyMax’s stream with Mark Wahlberg in doubt

PlaqueBoyMax announced in an X post that he would be collaborating with Mark Wahlberg. He posted a poster of the collaboration, which was titled “Learning How To Act With Mark Wahlberg”, and mentioned PlaqueBoyMax’s Twitch channel link, where he streams his content. This announcement was met with largely positive reactions, with some even claiming that this may be PlaqueBoyMax’s biggest stream to date. Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen reacted to the X post in a stream, calling the collaboration a “W” for PlaqueBoyMax. While this collaboration is still pending, N3on has already gone live with Mark Wahlberg.

Unverified screenshots of a message by PlaqueBoyMax started going viral after Mark Wahlberg went live with N3on, claiming that Max’s collab with the Hollywood actor has been canceled. These images have since been deleted, and it’s unclear whether PlaqueBoyMax will stream with Mark Wahlberg or not. A clip of Nick “Lacy” Fosco is also getting traction online where the streamer says he was excited when he was approached to collaborate with Mark Wahlberg, but was disappointed when he heard the Hollywood star would be collaborating with other creators before him. This indicated that Lacy likely won’t collaborate with Mark Wahlberg, and PlaqueBoyMax’s collaboration also now appears in doubt.

N3on already livestreamed Mark Wahlberg collab

The Hollywood actor is known for his early bird gym sessions, and N3on was live before the crack of dawn, talking to Mark Wahlberg. The two talked about several things, including Mark going to sleep at 5:30 PM, the actor recently filming a movie about FIFA World Cup match-fixing allegations, and what he disliked about filming movies. Wahlberg revealed that several hours are taken to prep for scenes, and he hates waiting. The actor also shared with N3on that he has had several injuries while filming, including two torn labrums, a torn meniscus, 3 herniated discs, and more.

The highlight of the stream may have been when N3on presented an award to Mark Wahlberg, and the actor stated it’s his first Emmy Award after more than two decades in the industry. Mark even told N3on that he would get him a movie, and the two pinky-promised. N3on and the A-lister seemingly had a stellar time during the livestream, and Wahlberg talked about Hollywood focusing on streamers for marketing.

N3on asked Mark Wahlberg what he thought about streamers, saying that the actor probably never watched a stream before. Mark Wahlberg instead praised streamers and stated they are a new form of entertainment and also emerging as a key player in marketing. The actor claimed that content creators are “running the game right now”. He said previously actors would sit down with journalists, but many are shifting toward streamers. This also isn’t the first time Mark Wahlberg has collaborated with a streamer, as he previously appeared on stream with former OTK member Will Neff to promote Play Dirty, a 2025 thriller.

Mark’s comments align with what is visible in Hollywood right now, with popular streamer Valkyrae having also recently hosted the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The streamer called the opportunity a dream come true because she was able to meet her favorite actress, Zendaya, and also gain exposure in Hollywood.

Valkyrae’s Red Carpet appearance and Wahlberg’s comments highlight that streamers are no longer merely confined to livestreaming platforms. Content creators are getting more mainstream exposure because their popularity is making them a genuine option when it comes to marketing movies and, as was seen with Wahlberg, offering actors a new outlet to air their views.
