Popular YouTuber turned streamer Dennis “PaymoneyWubby” Richardson recently signed to Kick, despite saying he likely wouldn’t in the past. So why did he make the switch, and what has he been doing on the new platform?

Why did PaymoneyWubby join Kick?

PaymoneyWubby previously streamed on Twitch, but he has constantly been at odds with the platform. Near the end of 2023, Wubby was banned for the fifth time after Twitch made stricter adult content guidelines. PaymoneyWubby told his fans that he was banned for seven days due to being “youth risky,” leading to a lot of backlash towards the platform. He still has “youth risky” in his bio on X to this day.

“Seven-day ban and I’m a danger to children across America. I should have just shown my whole a—hold and taken the three-day instead,” PaymoneyWubby said. This was a clear reference to Twitch’s inconsistent ban policies, which have at times appeared to be more lenient towards certain content creators engaging in sexually provocative content.

Despite his continued criticisms of the platform, PaymoneyWubby said two years ago that Twitch was still his preferred place to stream. He told fans on Reddit that “Kick is only on the table if they offer [him] a ‘f— you’ bag of money. Which at this point does not seem likely.”

That seems to have changed come 2025. On March 14, 2025, it was announced that PaymoneyWubby signed a non-exclusive streaming deal with Kick. While many fans worried that this might portend a permanent move from Twitch to Kick, the streamer has said otherwise. At the time of his signing, he stated that he would continue streaming on Twitch despite that signing.

“I’m excited to give this a shot and see what we can do over there” Richardson said at the time. “This doesn’t change my Twitch streams—it just means more content and more fun.”

PaymoneyWubby started streaming on Kick on March 21. Some fans voiced concern that PaymoneyWubby’s dark and edgy humor would get him in trouble on Kick, possibly appealing to the wrong crowds. Others felt the move was a bad idea due to the nature of Kick’s community.

It’s unclear how much money PaymoneyWubby was given to sign with Kick Currently, PaymoneyWubby has over 672,000 followers on Twitch compared to just over 10,000 on Kick, though his Kick numbers are likely to grow if he continues streaming there consistently.

What does PaymoneyWubby stream on Kick?

The content that PaymoneyWubby streams on Kick versus Twitch is vastly different. On Twitch, PaymoneyWubby is known for his controversial takes and for goofing around with his chat in the Just Chatting category. He also streams and reacts to movies and plays a variety of games.

On Kick, PaymoneyWubby has thus far been an online slots and gambling streamer. This includes streaming plinko, blackjack, slots, and Counter-Strike 2 case openings. PaymoneyWubby appears to be partnered with Stake. His chat there has been largely wholesome, with fans focused on chatting about gambling, gaming, and just vibing with the content creator, who often responds to questions and comments.
