Esports betting solution provider Oddin.gg has secured regulatory approvals in two more US territories, Kansas and Wyoming, expanding its North American licensing footprint to 10 jurisdictions across the U.S. and Canada, and strengthening its position in the regulated U.S. esports betting market.

Revealed by release on July 31, Oddin.gg explained that the company has been granted a temporary supplier license by the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission (KRGC) and approved for an Online Sports Wagering Vendor Permit by the Wyoming Gaming Commission (WGC).

These new approvals expand the reach of Czechia-based Oddin.gg to supply its esports betting products to licensed operators in both states, but also across the greater North American region.

Oddin.gg expands its market reach to Kansas and Wyoming

While the Kansas and Wyoming announcements came as a pair in the release, each state represents its own distinct competitive landscape, although the opportunities for the growth of  esports betting remain the same.

The move Kansas represents a new wave of licensing approvals sweeping the state. Kansas has offered regulated sports wagering since September 2022, with operators competing for many of the same bettors across a similar sports calendar. Esports, however, gives these sportsbooks a way to differentiate by offering betting on the titles audiences already follow, supported by infrastructure that meets regulatory standards.

Meanwhile, Wyoming operates one of the few fully online sports betting markets in the U.S. The state mandates that sportsbooks have no retail presence, but rather than this being a harsh restriction, it instead represents an opportunity for online bookmakers. As a result, it’s the digital product quality that makes a difference to users, and Oddin.gg is looking to fill that niche.

“State regulators have done serious work building supplier frameworks that hold every product in the sportsbook to the same standard, and esports belongs inside that structure, not adjacent to it,” said Martin Lycka, vice president of institutional affairs at Oddin.gg, commenting on the two new approvals.

“Kansas and Wyoming took different paths to regulated wagering, but the principle behind each of our licenses is the same: esports betting should be supplied with the same regulatory rigor as any other vertical.”

“Licensing is what turns esports from an idea operators like into a product they can launch with confidence,” said Marek Suchar, co-founder of Oddin.gg.

“What we bring to these markets is depth: the market coverage, trading expertise and in-play stability that make esports perform like a core vertical rather than a side offering.”

The approvals are the next step in Oddin.gg’s end-to-end esports betting ecosystem available to licensed operators in both states. What’s more, this new set of approvals is just the beginning. Oddin.gg has said it will continue to pursue approvals in additional regulated North American markets.

Oddin.gg is an esports betting solution supplier that supplies esports betting products to sportsbook operators and platform providers worldwide. Kansas and Wyoming join New Jersey, Colorado, West Virginia, Ohio, Arizona and Maryland in the United States, along with Ontario and Alberta in Canada, where the company is licensed to operate.
