NRG vs BBL Esports Match Analysis
NRG are coming off a strong victory against Team Liquid to survive the Swiss Stage, with their newest recruit, Keiko, stepping up and showing he belongs on the title-winning squad.
It’s also worth noting that NRG’s coach, bonkar, relies heavily on anti-stratting, and the team has had three days of break to come well-prepared for this BBL Esports match. However, bonkar might not have too much data to work with, as BBL are yet to play a single match here in Santiago.
The Turkish squad had a flawless run at the EMEA Kickoff, where they took down giants like Team Vitality and Fnatic, finishing 2-0 in both matches. Then, they won a tight series against Gentle M8s to secure the first seed of the region. With all the time they saved, BBL also could have prepared new strategies that might catch NRG off guard.

What’s interesting is that the two teams have shown very similar veto tendencies. Both squads have opted to prioritize Bind as their early ban, so it’ll be worth watching which team ends up using a ban to remove it from the pool.
That said, we predict Pearl, Abyss, and Haven could be the three maps we’ll likely see in play. If this were the case, both teams would be happy, as they’re comfortable on all of these maps. We could have a very competitive series on our hands.
However, it’s important to remember that the BBL squad is full of rookies who are playing in their first international tournament. Last year, the entire team was still playing in VCT Ascension. The BBL squad relies on their strong aimers, namely lovers rock and Lar0k. The question is whether these young players can maintain their performance without cracking under the pressure of the big stage.

NRG vs BBL Esports Betting Picks and Predictions
As discussed, the veto will likely be comfortable for both teams, and we’d slightly favor NRG if that scenario were to occur. This squad has already proven they can win a championship, and putting them on comfortable maps makes it easier for them to execute their game plan.

However, we don’t question BBL’s raw skill. They have young players with extreme firepower, and if they can replicate the aim they showed in the EMEA Kickoff, they could make this a very competitive and entertaining series.
Overall, we expect an explosive match but favor NRG in this affair due to their experience. That said, we won’t be surprised if BBL take a map or keep individual maps very close.
