Nina Lin is one of the more controversial Twitch streamers running today and was recently banned on the platform, but she has now been unbanned, confirming that a suspension thought by some to be permanent was only temporary.

Content creator Nina Lin has been making waves after a clip of Zoe Spencer and her harassing someone was brought to public attention. The two faced severe backlash, and Twitch banned them for their actions. Nina Lin’s channel was ultimately reinstated on the platform, much to the anger of some.

Lin continued her controversial behavior after being unbanned, and was suspended on Twitch once again following her allegedly shoplifting live on stream. After the suspension was levied, there were reports on social media that Nina Lin’s channel may have been banned indefinitely, but the streamer is now back.

Nina Lin denied rumors that her Twitch ban was permanent

The streaming community had speculated that Nina Lin’s Twitch van was permanent because of the message her channel displayed, but Lin denied the rumors and has now been unbanned, showing that those rumors were wrong.

Nina Lin’s second ban came within a matter of weeks of her first and was expected by many because of the streamer’s controversial actions taken during her streams. Some viewers were happy about Lin facing consequences, while still others felt the penalty was too light.

Just a few days after Nina Lin was banned, some fans noticed that her channel displayed that it was “unavailable” with no mention of it being a temporary issue, as is the norm when channels are only temporarily suspended.

This led to speculation that Twitch may have reconsidered its decision to allow her back after its first ban was delivered and banned Nina Lin permanently. Fellow content creator Zach “Asmongold” Hoyt was advocating for such a ban, which started drama between Nina Lin and Asmongold.

Nina Lin was quick to react to this newest development and stated that she would be back on December 26 despite reports to the contrary. She claimed people were “making things up,” and that she should make a trailer like the jailbreak video she had made for her previous unban. The streamer said that everyone still wants to talk about her despite her channel being temporarily banned, and she was anything but shy about the attention.

The reaction to Nina Lin getting unbanned has been divisive, with some supporting the streamer after she served her suspension time, while others are claiming that Twitch didn’t punish her hard enough. Those criticizing Twitch alleg that other streamers have been banned for longer, or even permanently suspended, for lighter offenses, while Nina Lin was unbanned after harassing others and allegedly shoplifting.

Nina Lin commented on her channel being reinstated, joking that “Twitter fingers will go crazy” as she informed fans that she would be going live again soon.
