Nikita Bier pushes creators to use X streaming after facing backlash
X’s Head of Product, Nikita Bier, was in the news recently because of the hate he received for apparently talking down Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr., and he is now in the limelight again for trying to convince streamers to multistream on X.
Social platform X recently announced that it was shutting down its community feature. iShowSpeed was one of the first to react, stating that X community is how he talks to his fans, and requested the platform rethink its decision.
Nikita Bier replied condescendingly, which led to viewers and other streamers calling him out. Just a few hours after the outrage, Nikita Bier started asking streamers to multistream on X and indicated that, in return, they may be able to keep their communities.
Nikita Bier didn’t outright offer any streamer to keep their communities if they start streaming on X. Instead, as the screenshot below shows, X’s Head of Product reportedly reached out to multiple streamers individually and stated that the platform is considering letting top creators keep their communities. He then asked whether they had tried to multistream on X. This led many to infer that the Head of Product was
asking creators to broadcast on the platform in return for keeping their communities.

The streaming community’s reaction to this news wasn’t positive on the whole, with some questioning whether Nikita Bier was blackmailing streamers. Some alleged that iShowSpeed’s post on X is why the platform thinks it can bring in streamers by enticing them using communities.
It remains unclear whether X has really changed its policy on communities, and even Nikita has only stated that the option is under consideration.
Sneako starts multistreaming on X
Nicolas “Sneako” Balinthazy has bounced around from platform to platform, facing bans from the likes of Twitch, Kick, and YouTube. In the end, he began streaming on Rumble before eventually shifting to Parti.
Sneako has a reported
net worth in the millions, and he has now taken up Nikia Bier on his offer, by
starting to multistream on
X. During his first stream, Sneako called up Nikita and asked him about X communities. Nikita pivoted to talking about streaming on X, and Sneako said he was finding everything good, as the platform is smooth and the “chat is cool”.

Nikita Bier shared that X has launched new streaming tools and said Sneak is the first of many new creators who will stream on the platform. Sneako joked that he has been passed around from platform to platform, but
repeated that X is the smoothest when compared to other new ones, such as Rumble and Parti. The streamer tried to talk about X communities again, saying he hopes they stay, but Bier didn’t give a definitive answer.
In the coming months it will be interesting to see if any other major streamers follow the example of the American by moving primarily to X for multistreaming.
