Ludwig Ahgren had the streaming community shocked when he made the switch from Twitch to YouTube. Now he has another surprise in store.
Ludwig made Twitch history with his subathon in April 2021. But Ludwig had other plans for his streaming career. At the end of November, Ludwig announced that he was changing to YouTube Gaming, joining big names including Valkyrae, DrLupo, Dr Disrespect, and TimTheTatman.
Ludwig has had great success early on. He already has over 2.17 million followers on YouTube Gaming and his most recent streams have reached impressive view counts. His last three videos each have over 850K views, including one video with views in the millions.
As if the exciting views were not enough, Ludwig’s move has also spurred more great news for the content creator.
After Ludwig’s new home was announced on Twitter, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki retweeted the news in welcoming Ludwig to the new platform. In response, Ludwig asked if she would like to appear on his podcast.
On November 30, Ludwig hadn’t received a reply just yet and had said it was “cool” because he was “busy” anyway. His fans wished him well after the “burn” of getting no answer. But that didn’t last forever.
“Yes, that would be fun,” Wojcicki replied on December 1.
Ludwig apparently wasn’t expecting such a receptive reply from the CEO. He replied with a “mind blown” emoji.
So far, there have been no further updates on a possible collaboration between Ludwig and Wojcicki. But fans are no doubt waiting for this podcast to happen to gain further insight into the world of YouTube streaming.
In July, Ludwig announced a podcast called “The Yard.” The podcast features Ludwig and other “visionaries” who basically just sit back, relax, and chat together. There are currently over 20 episodes recorded and available for listening.
Ludwig’s hardest decision ever … | The Yard
In the most recent episode, Ludwig talks about leaving Twitch for YouTube, giving fans a bit more information about his interesting decision.
