xQc Still Has No Plans for His Next Contract
One of the most influential streamers of today, xQc, held a Q&A session with fans where he was questioned about plans to renew his Kick deal. In his response, the French-Canadian streamer refused to give any clear answers as he still doesn’t know what the future holds.
xQc joined Kick in the summer of 2024 where he streams both gambling and gaming content. The platform is known for having less stringent gambling content policies than its main competitor, Twitch.
It’s Still Too Early for xQc to Comment on Renewing His Contract
xQc’s contract with streaming platform Kick has been a success so far, with his community combining for a total of close to 4.5 million hours watched. The contract was first signed in the summer of 2024 and was reported to be worth $70 million, with incentives potentially pushing it to $100 million.
His streams typically involve spinning slots and have been drawing large numbers of gambling enthusiasts from across the world. With the platform’s focus set on gambling content and more people becoming interested in the activity, we can expect the same to continue in the future.
Additionally, more offshore casino options for US players are emerging and the industry is thriving. One of the driving factors for this has been popular streamers who focus on gambling content, such as xQc and Adin Ross.
With xQc’s Kick deal ending in the summer of 2025, fans were wondering whether he plans to renew it. When asked about it during his live Q&A session with fans, Félix didn’t want to provide a clear answer as he still doesn’t know what will happen in the future.
He said that he doesn’t want to give his take on it now and then have a shift on the platform or market to change his mind later. In his typical fashion, he added that he doesn’t know what he’s doing next week and that he can’t make any predictions for a year from now.
xQc also said that he doesn’t know how Kick is going to feel about it and if things are going to be the way he wants them to be.
Although a lot of media channels report this as xQc potentially leaving Kick, other streamers have since gone to comment otherwise.
Adin Ross, who recently smashed Kick viewership record with his Donald Trump stream, said that xQc never said that he was leaving Kick and called it fake news. He further explained that Félix only said you never know what the future holds.
The deal xQc signed with Kick attracted a lot of media attention as it matched traditional contracts athletes sign when joining a new team or renewing their current deals. The contract was often compared to the extension LeBron James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022.
As mentioned earlier, the deal is set to expire in the summer of 2025 and we’ll have to wait and see whether Félix decides to stay on the platform or return to Twitch full-time.
