xQc admits he makes up to $2 million a year from Twitch ads
It’s no surprise that Twitch users can’t stand the amount of ads that have taken over the streaming platform. But former FPS pro turned top content creator Felix “xQc” Lengyel has revealed the reason he won’t stop running ads anytime soon.
On a recent stream, xQc admitted that he would lose a lot of money if he stopped running ads on his streams.
How much money does xQc make off Twitch ads?
During a recent livestream, a fan asked xQc why he won’t shut off ads on his streams. The Juicer immediately responded that he would not be doing that.
He exclaimed: “Bro, do you have any idea how much I’d lose by going live and not having ads? Do you have any idea? It’s like $6,000 a day.”
A quick calculation from xQc showed just how much he potentially makes on Twitch ads a year. Multiplying 6,000 by 365 days equals over $2.1 million. Keep in mind, however, that xQc doesn’t’ stream every day anymore. After getting a $100 million deal from Kick, he will sometimes livestream on Twitch’s rival platform instead.
Either way, xQc makes bank on ads and has no intentions to stop running them.
“The only way to remove those ads would be to remove my partnership,” he explained. “So that would mean I wouldn’t have a subscriber button anymore, and then the chat would become complete dog s—. So, we’re not doing that.”
xQc is not hurting for money either way. A leak showed that xQc earned $8.5 million in 2019 alone — just off of Twitch. He’s used his massive wealth to buy supercars, watches, and more. Although it’s unclear if he has used it to hire a maid for his room.
