WWE 2K22 is set to receive a slew of DLC characters, and we have the full schedule and roster of wrestlers that are to be released.

Take-Two Interactive isn’t leaving fans to wonder about which wrestlers are coming to its latest wrestling game. The publisher has confirmed the full lineup of characters coming to the game, with an assortment that ranges from “why are they here?” to “why are they DLC and not on the base WWE 2K22 roster?”

Though the PlayStation and Xbox storefronts leaked some of the DLC wrestlers, the six that were revealed are actually a cross-section of five DLC packs that will add 28 new playable characters to WWE 2K22. These packs will drop between April and July 2022. Here’s the full DLC schedule for WWE 2K22.

WWE 2K22 DLC release dates, wrestlers

WWE 2K22 will receive five packs of DLC that will include wrestlers such as Ronda Rousey, Cactus Jack, Big Van Vader, and Rob Van Dam. It will also feature three celebrities who have appeared on WWE programming in the past.

WWE 2K22’s DLC packs will be released between April and July 2022. Each one will boast either five or six wrestlers. A total of 28 new playable characters will be added to the roster.

Banzai Pack, April 26

  • Omos
  • Kacy Catanzaro
  • Yokozuna
  • Umaga
  • Rikishi

The first batch arrives in April, adding three superheavyweights from the past and two notable names still performing today. Omos was conspicuously absent from WWE 2K22’s base roster despite already having won gold in the WWE’s main roster. Kacy Catanzaro helps shore up an anemic women’s roster in WWE 2K22.

The centerpiece of the DLC pack is a trio of Anoa’i family members. Yokozuna was one of the top WWF wrestlers of the 1990s, with his cousins Umaga and Rikishi both enjoying main event runs in the 2000s.

Most Wanted Pack, May 17

  • Cactus Jack
  • Vader
  • The Boogeyman
  • Ilja Dragunov
  • Indi Hartwell

Two pro wrestling legends will be included in the Most Wanted Pack with Cactus Jack, the deadliest face of Mick Foley joining the game alongside WCW and New Japan Pro Wrestling legend Vader.

As with Kacy Catanzaro in the original pack, NXT wrestler Indi Hartwell adds another option to the women’s roster. NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov will also be joining the pack alongside novelty act The Boogeyman. Though The Boogeyman has been a frequent performer for the WWE, this is actually only his third appearance in a game after WWE 2K Battlegrounds and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007.

Stand Back Pack, June 7

  • Hurricane Helms
  • Stacy Keibler
  • A-Kid
  • Wes Lee
  • Nash Carter

While the first two packs had some highly influential figures, things are decidedly more low-key for the Stand Back Pack that drops on June 7. Hurricane Helms headlines despite being a mid-card comedy act for most of his run, while Stacy Keibler makes her first WWE console game appearance since 2006.

Past that are three NXT wrestlers. Wes Lee and Nash Carter had a strong run as NXT Tag Team Champions, and A-Kid is another major player from NXT UK.

Clowning Around Pack, June 28

  • Doink the Clown
  • Ronda Rousey
  • The British Bulldog
  • Mr. T
  • Doudrop
  • Rick Boogs

Despite having big names of both the past and present, Doink the Clown got title treatment for the fourth scheduled WWE 2K22 DLC pack. Two other throwbacks are also included with The British Bulldog and Mr. T. The British Bulldog needs no introduction to fans who watched WWF in the 1990s, while Mr. T famously wrestled in the main event of Wrestlemania 1.

He’s joined by three wrestlers who were inexplicably omitted from the WWE 2K22 base roster. Foremost among them is Ronda Rousey, who may wind up main eventing Wrestlemania 2022. Rick Boogs has also been a steady presence on WWE TV of late alongside Shinsuke Nakamura, while Doudrop has been getting prominent booking in the women’s division. It’s anyone’s guess as to why these three are being released as DLC rather than being included on the main WWE 2K22 roster list.

The Whole Dam Pack, July 19

  • Rob Van Dam
  • Logan Paul
  • Xia Li
  • Machine Gun Kelly
  • LA Knight
  • Commander Azeez

The final DLC pack for WWE 2K22 boasts two celebrity appearances in Logan Paul and Machine Gun Kelly. Logan Paul has been prominently featured in major WWE shows over the last 12 months, but Machine Gun Kelly has only made sporadic appearances. His lone instance of something similar to wrestling was when he was power bombed off the WWE entrance stage by Kevin Owens in 2015.

There are three relative newcomers to the WWE umbrella in Xia Li, LA Knight, and Commander Azeez. Former ECW star and WWE champion Rob Van Dam justifiably headlines this DLC crew.
