Amongst these Battle Pet is the new Dalaran Sewer Turtle Pet, introduced in The War Within. This hero in a half shell wears different colored scarf every time it is summoned, adding a fun variation to this companion. The variation of red, orange, blue, or purple is a clear nod to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, capturing it requires some task completions given by the NPC. Here’s how to do it!
To get this Battle Pet in a shell, players must first complete a series of tasks. These tasks are given to the player by the Dalaran Sewer Turtle NPC. The Dalaran Sewer Turtle NPC can be located on a hill in the eastern area of Freywold Village, beneath a tree. The turtle is nursing an injured Dalaran Sewer Rat that is lying in the grass. To start the process, interact with the turtle, and it will communicate what needs to be done to help its friend recover.
After finding the Dalaran Sewer Turtle NPC, the first step is to bring it some fish to help the rat heal. The turtle will ask for five Dornish Pike, which players can either catch in the waters around the Isle of Dorn. Alternatively, players can purchase it from the auction house for a reasonable price.
After delivery, the NPC will request that you return after a short wait. 10 to 60 minutes later, when you come back, the turtle will ask for one Goldengill Trout. This fish is a bit rarer than the previous one but can also be caught or purchased. Once the turtle receives the Goldengill Trout, the rat’s condition will begin to improve.
After completing the two fish-related tasks, head to a garden in the northeastern part of Dornogal. Afterwards, you will find four turtles listening to the now-healthy Dalaran Sewer Rat, which stands on a rock. Lastly, By interacting with this group, you will be rewarded with the Dalaran Sewer Turtle pet.
