World of Warcraft (WoW) is celebrating its 20th anniversary in a big way! The upcoming Classic Timewalking event bringing unique features from WoW Classic to retail World of Warcraft. Firstly, among the most exciting additions are the new Epic class weapons from the Classic Season of Discovery. These weapons are now available for a limited time. All in all, these exclusive cosmetic items, originally introduced in Classic Season of Discovery, can now be collected through the Timewalking event.
The Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic introduced exciting new content, including unique class-specific Epic weapons. Basically, these coveted weapons are available to retail WoW players as part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations. The Classic Timewalking event will allow players to visit iconic Classic dungeons and purchase these powerful weapons through the new vendor, Bobadormu, in exchange for Timewarped Badges. The available weapons and their cost in Timewarped badges are as follows:
These cosmetic weapons are not restricted to specific classes in retail WoW, unlike their Season of Discovery versions. For instance, the Farstrider’s Huntsblade, previously for hunters, can now be wielded by any character that uses one-handed swords, offering more flexibility in customization.
The new Epic weapons come at a high price, with one-handed weapons costing 1500 Timewarped Badges, shields at 2000, and two-handed weapons at 2500 each. While the ability to transfer currency across accounts may ease the badge-collecting process, obtaining all the desired items may still be challenging during the event’s limited run. It’s unclear if Classic Timewalking will become a recurring event, so players are encouraged to grab these items while they’re available.
In addition to the Epic weapons, revamped Tier 2 sets will also be available during the Classic Timewalking event. Players can also look forward to rewards from past anniversaries, with plenty of content to explore when the event kicks off. Fans should stay tuned for more updates, as the event’s start date will be confirmed soon.
