Will Chainsaw Man season 2 be released in 2023?

Chainsaw Man season 2 is already in production, according to some leaks, the sophomore season of the successful anime is already on the way.

2022 was a great year for anime lovers, who enjoyed many incredible titles, including Chainsaw Man. The anime, based on the manga of the same name written by Tatsuki Fujimoto, quickly became an internet sensation.

Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a young man that signs a contract that fuses his body with Pochite, a dog-like demon. As a result, he can transform part of his body into chainsaws. Denji uses his newly acquired abilities to fight devils that are threatening Japan.

The manga made its debut in December 2018, and it is still ongoing, with a total of 13 published volumes or 122 chapters.

The anime version of Chainsaw Man ran from October 12 through December 28. The anime had 12 episodes that covered the first 38 chapters of the manga.

There is plenty of material to cover. Season 2 might cover volumes five through ten.

Chainsaw Man Season 2 release date

After a successful season 1, fans are patiently awaiting the announcement of season 2. It might not come in 2023, but some rumors indicate that it is already in production.

According to some insiders, Chainsaw Man will not only have a second season but a movie as well. All future plans for the anime might be officially announced in May during a special Chainsaw Man event that is being held.

One of the reasons fans believe an announcement is happening is the guest list. The event will have cast members in attendance, including Kikunosuke Toya, who is the voice of Denji. In the anime industry, major announcements usually take place when a major voice actor is invited.

If season 2 is confirmed next May, chances are the show might premiere either in the fall of 2023 or in early 2024.
