Based on the clues in the Orientation Notebook, it’s possible that Poppy has been lying to us and may emerge as the villain in Chapter 4.
The book suggests that Elliot Ludwig, the owner of Playtime,
could still be alive. It’s also possible that he’s been hiding behind Prototype’s arm, controlling all the toys. This theory aligns with another one that claims Poppy could be Elliot’s daughter. That would explain why Prototype placed Poppy in a safe glass case when the Hour of Joy began, and the factory was turned into a slaughterhouse. It was Elliot trying to save his daughter.

This would possibly make her another pawn in the Prototype’s game, but a more elaborate one. So, it’s entirely possible that Poppy would reveal herself as the villain in Chapter 4.
It’s important to remember that these are just theories and shouldn’t be taken as gospel. However, there are still many puzzling aspects about Poppy that don’t add up. We’ll have to wait for Mob to start posting new VHS and teasers for Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 to uncover more.
