One of North America’s most decorated Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players has a chance at his second major.

Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip is the entry fragger for Team Liquid, the top North American CSGO team competing in Europe. Since his professional debut on Cloud9 in 2016, he has grown into one of NA’s most recognizable players. Stewie2K is most famous for winning the ELEAGUE Boston Major in 2018 as well as a period of extreme Liquid dominance in 2019. Stewie2k has won a total of $1,157,440 across six years of top-level play.

What is Stewie2K famous for?

Stewie2K is famous for frustrating his fellow pros with his extremely aggressive playstyle. He rose to prominence in the high-level pub scene, where his smoke pushes and pop flashes made him a feared opponent. 

In addition to styling on his opponents, Stewie2K is also infamous for trolling his teammates. His most famous joke is calling a flash for a teammate only to not throw anything. The result is his teammate rushing into a crowded site facing away with no cover. It’s not a great way to win games, but it’s definitely a good way to have fun.

Stewie2K joined Team Liquid in late 2018. The Liquid roster for the Stockholm Major is as follows.

Stewie2k is currently on Team Liquid as the squad’s entry fragger. Team Liquid is considered the strongest CSGO team from North America. Liquid’s roster for the Stockholm Major has the surprise inclusion of pashaBiceps as a substitute. The Polish icon is signed to Team Liquid as a streamer. If any of Liquid’s players fail mandatory health checks or experience travel trouble, pasha will step in to fill the gaps.

It’s hard to call Team Liquid a favorite to win PGL Major Stockholm, but the squad could have a respectable run. Liquid will start in the New Legends stage, which guarantees a top 16 finish. The final result could vary wildly depending on the bracket, but most fans would be satisfied with a top-eight finish. If Stewie2K and the rest of the squad pops off, a top-four finish is possible. 

How old is Stewie2K?

Stewie2K is 23 years old. The American CSGO star’s birthday is January 7, 1998. Stewie2K claims that he began playing CSGO in 2014, by which point his contemporaries had more than a decade of competitive experience. 

Stewie2K’s youth and relative inexperience with the game are part of his charm as a star. His meteoric rise to the top came with its fair share of controversies. While his laidback attitude has drawn some haters, Stewie2K’s insanely fast climb to the top of CSGO esports is a sign of his dedication and talent for the game.
