Who is ManeschijnX? Counter-Strike pro accused of cheating
A cheating scandal in the Counter-Strike community has resulted in yet another female pro leaving GamerLegion Prism.
Luna “ManeschijinX” Akkermans is the latest pro to quit the CSGO team after drama has continued to plague the org. Just a few days ago, fellow teammate Chloe “KittyTM” Geaney was removed from the team when she was accused of sending racist messages before the team was signed to GamerLegion.
Now, ManeschijinX has left after she was accused of cheating on a previous Counter-Strike account.
Did ManeschijnX cheat in CSGO?
ManeschijnX announced on Twitter that she has stepped down from GamerLegion Prism after being accused of cheating.
“Regarding allegations, I want to inform everyone that I have made the decision to part ways with GamerLegion due to the recent events,” she said, thanking the org for the opportunity and support.
In response, the CSGO community scoffed at her decision to leave, claiming that it made her look even more suspicious as ESL FACEIT continues to investigate the claims.
ManeschijnX was accused of hacking under a prior gamertag “Bentas” by former pro Esmee Pauw. The Counter-Strike player claimed that Bentas decided to “change his identity and ‘become a woman’ to play in the women’s league” after he was banned from FACEIT events for prior hacking.
After sharing alleged evidence on social media, Pauw added that they reported ManeschijnX to GamerLegion, providing them with cheating proof as well as instances of them changing their identity on Steam to “mock” transgender individuals.
For now, the Counter-Strike community is skeptical of ManeschijnX but no evidence has come from the official investigation just yet.
