Who is Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
While Kirby is obviously the star of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, many fans of the series had been wondering about Elfilin before the game was released.
Elfilin is undoubtedly adorable with their big ears and rodent-like face. But despite their innocent appearance, the floating creature had many fans skeptical of its intentions before the game was released. It seemed that Elfilin could actually be evil. Now that Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been released, we have answers.
What is the story behind Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
Kirby first comes across Elfilin after he sees that Elfilin is captured by the Beast Pack. Kirby rescues Elfilin and is immediately told by Elfilin that Waddle Dees are also being captured and need to be rescued. This will help rebuild Waddle Dee Town, something that Elfilin was doing before the Beast Pack raid.
Kirby agrees to save the Waddle Dees, an unsurprising choice for a Star Warrior to make. Elfilin helps Kirby throughout the journey, but is captured by King Dedede later on and brought to Lab Discovera. This unlocks some of the mysteries behind Elfilin.
Apparently, the blue floating rodent has the power to create vortexes, similar to the vortex that brought Kirby to the mysterious forgotten land. Elfilin is also revealed to be a part of Fecto Elfilis with Soul Forgo, who combine to create the big baddie at the end of Forgotten Land: Ultimate Life-Form Fecto Elfilis.
Is Elfilin an evil enemy to Kirby?
While Elfilin is part of the duo that creates an immense monster that serves as a boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Elfilin is not evil on its own. Elfilin is the good side of the villain, but their smaller side is apparently very small.
Kirby’s allies have been evil in the past, which is why many fans speculated that Elfilin may not be as innocent as they first appeared. Marx was initially Kirby’s ally in Kirby Super Star. It’s later revealed that Marx is a powerful villain that wishes to become a god-like being.
Many wondered about Elfilin’s true purpose, noting its chipped ear. Was this from a battle? From simply being captured? It turns out that Elfilin is indeed wholesome. But it needs Kirby’s help to fight its evil side.
