Getting subs on Twitch isn’t easy, but the top streamers have tons of dedicated viewers willing to spend $5 a month.

Subs are vital when it comes to evaluating a streamer’s significance on Twitch. Anyone can follow for free with just one click, but spending money on the streamer is a true show of dedication. Amassing the most subs has became a fierce competition for the elite Twitch streamers, but the top three is really just a battle for second place.

Here are the three most subbed Twitch streamers and how they earned their place on the leaderboard.

KaiCenat has the most Twitch subs in early 2023

With 215,219 active subs as of late February 2023, Kai Cenat is the undisputed king of Twitch. The variety streamer has surged in sub count since the start of February, earning an insane 19,717 subs in a single on February 2.

This massive spike is due to a subathon he began on that day, which is scheduled to last until the end of the month. Twitch Tracker shows that Cenat has been continuously streaming for 24 hours a day, with more time being added with every new sub. This method is how Ludwig Ahgren earned the record for most subs of all time, but he’s still around 68,000 subs shy of that record.

xQc

The second place for most subs on Twitch is Félix “xQc” Lengyel, who usually holds the top spot. As of February 24, he currently has 70,116 active subs for his channel. This is massively below Cenat’s current record, but is usually at the top of the leaderboard for Twitch streamers.

xQc has streamed consistently since the start of the month. He is primarily on the Just Chatting section of the website, but has also played Grand Theft Auto V, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Minecraft this month. The Juicer has also enjoyed his fair share of controversy, drawing further attention to his stream.

HasanAbi

The third most subbed streamer on Twitch is Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker. The political streamer almost exclusively streams in the Just Chatting category, where he offers takes on both serious and less-serious matters. In February 2023, he currently boasts 68,311 active subscribers.

HasanAbi Andrew Tate

This is actually considerably less than his recent monthly totals, with January nearly reaching 70,000 total subscribers. Hasan’s recent charity stream for the earthquake in Turkey garnered major media attention, which has helped contribute to his massive donator base.

Who has had the most subs ever on Twitch?

He doesn’t appear in the current top three, but Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren still holds the record for the most ever subs at one time with 283,066.

Ludwig earned that insane paid following in April 2019 during a month-long subathon that earned over $1 million in revenue. The stream was ultimately shut off by Ludwig, who barely eclipsed Tyler “Ninja” Blevins’s previous record of 269,154. That record has stood strong for almost four years now, making it unlikely to be broken anytime soon.
