Twitch streamer Macaiyla is getting backlash for her comments regarding the LGBTQ community on X. The streamer has now apologized.

The Imane Khelif controversy, a flashpoint at the Paris Olympics, has sparked a flurry of reactions from social media influencers and personalities. Among them is Macaiyla, girlfriend of popular Twitch streamer Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp, who has built a significant following of her own, with 334,000 fans tuning in to her streams on the platform.

Imane Khelif, a biological woman, has been incorrectly identified as transgender by some online critics, who have targeted her for competing in women’s sports. Responding to a similar post, Macaiyla said that she may have to vote for Trump to prevent “stuff like this from happening.”

When fans called her out for hateful comments, she claimed that her boyfriend Tyler1 didn’t like LGBTQ supporters either. Her remarks are now all gone from X, and Macaiyla has posted a lengthy apology.

“I apologize to not only the trans community but all of the LGBTQ+ supporters for my comments. I apologize for the misinformation I put out. I also apologize for the hate that I put out,” Macaiyla said.

Tyler1 has also addressed the controversy and has asked the fans to keep him away from drama since he’s not educated about it. The streamer said that he doesn’t care about people’s beliefs and actions as long as they are happy.

“I do not give a single f–k about whatever the f–k people go by. Guy, girl, other, he, him, her, both, race, color, yellow green? I do not care. If they are happy, let them fucking be,” Tyler1 said.

Macaiyla’s apology has received a divided response from fans, with some pointing out that her past behavior and comments have consistently reflected similar beliefs, making this incident not an isolated mistake. Others are calling her out for dragging Tyler1 into the drama.
