WePlay Academy League Season 6 Playoffs schedule, format, and more

The final stage of WePlay Academy Season 6 is coming, and the new champion of the battle of the academies is about to be determined.

Within Season 6, 14 teams participated in the competition for the prize pool of $100,000, but only four could reach the final Playoff stage, starting on November 18. 

The Season started with the Group Stage, where the teams, divided into two groups of seven teams each, played in a double round-robin Bo1 format. Spirit Academy and NAVI Junior secured their places in the Playoff Stage. The lowest-ranking teams were eliminated from the competition, while six others: 00Prospects, MOUZ NXT, Fnatic Rising, Astralis Talent, OG Academy, and YN.GamerPay, kept fighting for the last two slots in the Playoffs. And MOUZ NXT and YN.GamerPay qualified for the Playoffs. 

WePlay Academy Season 6 Playoff Format

The Season 6 playoffs will be held online in a double-elimination Bo3 format between the four teams that showed the best results during the previous stages: YN.GamerPay, Spirit Academy, MOUZ NXT, and NAVI Junior. Each team includes at least four members aged 16 to 21 years old. One participant over 21 years old is allowed per team.

The playoff matches will run for three days, with an upper and lower bracket. First, the upper rack kicks off the event, followed by the lower and winner brackets. From there, the tournament finishes with a decider match ahead of the Grand Final.

What is the WePlay Academy League?

The WePlay Academy League is a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament series launched in 2021 by WePlay Esports in partnership with leading esports organizations. The purpose of the competition is to allow up-and-coming gamers to gain their first competitive experience and learn how the esports business actually works.
