Sangal Esports is now a Turkish CSGO team made complete with the additions of w0xic, XANTARES, and Calyx.

The existing CSGO organization will replace three of its current players with İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş, Buğra “Calyx” Arkın, and Özgür “woxic” Eker. The Sangal Esports CSGO squad is entirely composed of Turkish players. The roster will compete in Turkish tournaments and will attempt to qualify for LANs across Europe.

Although originally founded in Turkey, Sangal Esports relocated to The Netherlands in early 2021. The vast majority of Turkish CSGO talent has been scattered around Europe for the past few years. Space Soldiers was the last high-level squad made entirely of Turkish players before it dissolved in late 2019. CSGO is very popular in Turkey, so the country’s fans certainly appreciate the competitive representation.

Sangal Esports CSGO roster

The new roster was first reported by Turkish gaming publication GamerBase. w0xic previously teased a new all-Turkish roster through social media and later requested sponsorship inquiries. XANTARES’ departure from BIG was less expected. The German stack landed a solid eighth place at IEM Cologne. BIG’s last big championship was three months ago at Funspark ULTI.

Hello Twitter, i hope you’re doing well. The time has come! As a 5 man squad we are ready to compete and grind on CS:GO and for now we are looking an organization.???? RT’s are appericated!

imoRR and paz are already signed to the Sangal CSGO roster. Both players have played well over the past three months of competition. paz has averaged a solid 76.8 damage per round with .67 deaths. His patient lurking skills have helped him win 18 of 31 clutch situations. imoRR is an extremely explosive entry fragger, exceeding Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev’s average damage at 89.6. Both players will get a chance to shine on the new star-studded Sangal Esports lineup.

Calyx took a brief break from competitive CSGO after leaving Team Envy in January 2021. The support rifler previously played for Space Soldiers during the squad’s 2018 hot streak. Sangal Esports is another opportunity for Calyx to rise to the top with a fully-Turkish CSGO squad.

What settings does XANTARES use?

To facilitate his aggressive peeking style, XANTARES uses an above-average sensitivity at 800 effective DPI. He’s fairly unique in that he uses mouse acceleration, a very rare feature at the top level of CSGO. For gear, XANTARES uses a Zowie FK1 mouse, Zowie XL2540 240hz monitor, and a Corsair K70 keyboard.

XANTARES’ crosshair uses thin green lines with no central dot. He also has outlines turned off, which can help with visibility on some maps. To try out XANTARES’ crosshair setting for yourself, paste the following block into the CSGO console.

cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap 0; cl_crosshairsize 3; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0.5; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0;
